Gaming enthusiasts are abuzz after an unofficial database for the Epic Games Store, known as EpicDB, leaked information about potentially upcoming PC ports of major titles.
Leaked Titles Hint at Epic Games Store Bonanza for PC Gamers: FFXIV, GTA 6 & More
The leak, first reported by Wccftech, involved information scraped from the Epic Games Store catalog. While EpicDB was swiftly taken offline, gamers managed to grab glimpses of the list before it vanished.
The biggest leak revolves around a Sony Interactive Entertainment game codenamed “Utah.” This has fans buzzing that it’s a PC port of the critically-acclaimed The Last of Us Part 2. The leak suggests the port might be ready to go, but a release date remains a mystery. Some speculate Naughty Dog might be waiting to launch it alongside the upcoming second season of The Last of Us HBO series.
Red Dead Redemption fans also got a glimmer of hope, with a possible PC port codenamed “Selma” appearing in the leak. However, a source at Dealabs Magazine throws cold water on this one, suggesting it might not be real.
Rockstar enthusiasts can still rejoice though, as the leak hints at a PC version of Grand Theft Auto 6 hitting shelves alongside the console release. Take-Two has yet to confirm this in any official capacity, but the leak has sparked excitement nonetheless.
Beyond these heavyweights, the leak revealed other intriguing titles. “Momo” is believed to be a remake of Final Fantasy IX, while “Skobeloff” has gamers guessing it’s a PC port of Final Fantasy XVI. Pre-order bonus info within the leak lends credence to this theory, considering Final Fantasy XVI’s reported final optimization stages back in March.
While Epic has shut down EpicDB and taken steps to prevent future leaks, the information already out there could hold weight. Only time will tell if these leaked titles become reality, but PC gamers certainly have a lot to look forward to based on this data dump.
