Genshin Impact Natlan Region: Release Date, Characters, Story & New Mounts

With Fontaine’s chapter nearing its end, whispers of the fiery realm of Natlan are starting to ignite. Here’s a glimpse of what awaits us based on recent leaks (remember, leaks are not official!):

Genshin Impact Natlan Release Date

Mark your calendars! Based on Genshin Impact’s usual release schedule, Natlan is expected to arrive alongside Version 5.0 around August 28, 2024, setting the world of Teyvat ablaze this summer.

A Land Forged by Fire

Seasoned adventurer Augusutace Lovelace describes Natlan as a land scorched by the Great Red Sand desert, bordering Sumeru. Volcanic activity has shaped Natlan into a tapestry of vast canyons, sizzling deserts, and steaming hot springs. Chief Justice Neuvillette hints at a region perpetually embroiled in war and conflict, mirroring the fiery nature of the land itself.

Natlan’s society is built on a foundation of tribal life, with each tribe adhering to its own customs and laws. Historical records mention at least six major tribes during the Tenoch era (around 1000 years ago), but the current number remains a mystery.

Fierce Characters

The 2020 Teyvat Chapter Storyline Preview offered a glimpse of playable characters from upcoming regions. The Natlan segment showcased a chibi character named Iansan, hinting at her potential arrival. The only other confirmed character is the Pyro Archon herself, the fiery Murata.

Genshin Impact Natlan

With the recent reveal of the Fourth Fatui Harbinger, Arlecchino, players are speculating another Harbinger might join the fray in Natlan. Given Il Capitano’s confirmed presence in the region, there’s a high chance he might become playable as well.

New Mechanics

A fiery teaser at the end of the 4.7 Livestream offered a glimpse of Natlan’s diverse landscapes teeming with unique creatures. More importantly, it hinted at a long-awaited feature – mounts!

The real stars of the show, however, were the Saurians – dragon-like creatures roaming Natlan’s diverse biomes. From rivers of lava and sprawling canyons to steaming hot springs and lush cave systems, Natlan offers a variety. The teaser revealed three Saurian types:

  • Geo Saurian: Burrow underground and traverse walls with ease.
  • Lava Swimmer: Navigate not only water but also molten lava like a champ.
  • Path-Maker: This nimble Saurian uses a special rock to create a path of light, speeding up travel across vast distances.

While details about other mechanics are scarce, speculation is running wild. One popular theory revolves around Natlan’s iconic hot springs. Many believe these will act as restorative havens, replenishing lost HP with a soothing soak.

The arrival of a new region in Genshin Impact is always a momentous occasion, bringing a wealth of fresh content for players to explore. As the release of Natlan draws near, fans can eagerly await HoYoverse to gradually unveil more characters from the Pyro nation, alongside exciting new gameplay mechanics. tune share more_vert
