Sea of Stars Guide: How to Use Your Code to Access the Ancient Crypt Memorial
The Ancient Crypt is a unique location within Sea of Stars where Kickstarter backers can discover their personal memorials. These memorials come in the form of tombstones and statues, each bearing the names of the game’s generous patrons.
To access your own memorial within the Ancient Crypt, follow these steps:
Step 1: Check Your Kickstarter Pledge Level
Your ability to access the Ancient Crypt and the type of memorial you receive depends on your Kickstarter pledge level. There are three pledge levels that grant access:
- Solstice Warrior Level: If you pledged $45 or more, you will find a tombstone with your name on it in the Ancient Crypt.
- A Hero to Be Remembered Level: If you pledged $119 to the Kickstarter campaign, you’ll receive a special statue inscribed with “A hero to be remembered.”
- A Hero to Be Worshipped Level: For backers who pledged $148 or more, you’ll have the opportunity to customize your own statue to be placed in the Ancient Crypt.
Step 2: Email and Design Selection
If you meet the required pledge level, you should have received an email from Sabotage Studio before the game’s release. In this email, you were given the opportunity to select a design for your memorial on the developer’s website.
Step 3: Receive Your Code
After selecting your design, Sabotage Studio will provide you with a unique code via email. This code is essential for accessing your memorial in the Ancient Crypt.
Step 4: Interaction with Cryptwalker
In Sea of Stars, head to Settlers Island and explore the area until you locate the Ancient Crypt. Within the crypt, you will encounter an NPC named Cryptwalker. Talk to Cryptwalker and provide him with the unique code you received via email.
Step 5: Visit Your Memorial
Once you’ve entered the code, Cryptwalker will transport you directly to your memorial within the Ancient Crypt. Here, you can pay your respects and see your personalized tombstone or statue.
Note for Latecomers
If you didn’t have the chance to support Sea of Stars on Kickstarter or missed the opportunity to pledge at the required levels, unfortunately, there’s no way to obtain an Ancient Crypt code now that the crowdfunding period is over. The special location and memorials are exclusive to backers who supported the game during its development.
