Here’re all the steps you need to take to find the source of the suspicious sounds:

  1. Initial Observation: As you explore the main floor of Moonrise Tower, you’ll come across a door covered with a strange pink membrane. Talking to the ogre in the area will reveal that there’s a suspicious sound coming from the walls, particularly from the kitchen.
  2. The Ladder: Head to the left of the tower’s entrance. Here, you’ll notice three goblins: Brawler Weneg, Brawler Orik, and Brawler Winn. Adjacent to them, you’ll find a ladder.
  3. Climbing Up: Ascend the ladder to gain access to the rafters. This elevated vantage point will be crucial for your investigation.
  4. Leap Towards the Kitchen: Spot the broken rafter that leads towards the tower with the pink, suspicious flesh. Take a leap of faith and jump towards the kitchen area.
  5. Platform and Perception Check: As you approach the tower, you’ll see a platform beside it. Land on this platform to trigger a perception check. Successfully passing this check will highlight a cracked section of the tower’s wall.
  6. Interacting with the Cracked Wall: Engage with the highlighted Cracked Wall. You’ll have the option to either reach inside or leave it be.

I suggest you try reaching inside. Doing that will make you face a difficult challenge to get out. But taking the risk might reward you with some interesting stories that hint at things that might happen later. If you’re using the Great Old One subclass, you might have a special option.
