To embark on this quest, make your way to the Riverside Stable after rescuing Teli and his friends from a cooking mishap in the Batrea Lake forest. Teli will request your assistance in finding the scattered Cuccos.
The missing birds can be found near the stables, and you can search for them in any order you prefer. Here are the locations of each Cucco:
Here’s a breakdown of the locations where you can find each of the missing Cuccos:
Cucco 1
The first Cucco is hiding inside the stable, near one of the beds. Approach the bird and press the A button to pick it up. Carry it back to its pen and throw it inside.
Cucco 2
Look for a large tree near a man named Endai. The second Cucco can be found in the lowest branches, emitting its distinct crowing sound.
Cucco 3
Proceed to The Stable Trotters’ stage, where musicians are performing. You’ll find the third Cucco standing before the stage, enjoying the music.
Cucco 4
Make your way to the top of the stable structure using the Ascend ability. On the highest level, you’ll discover the fourth Cucco. To descend safely, jump off the structure while holding the bird, as it will slow down your fall.
Cucco 5
Venture towards the river and locate a large rock. The fifth Cucco is stranded on this rock. To retrieve it, you’ll need to create a bridge. Utilize nearby trees to construct a wooden bridge or use an ice-element material to fashion an ice bridge.
Note: Be cautious when using magical weapons like the Sapphire Rod, as accidentally striking the chicken will summon an angry flock of Cuccos that can overwhelm you. If this happens, teleporting to a nearby shrine will cause the chicken army to disperse.
Once you have successfully retrieved all five missing Cuccos, return to Teli at the Cucco pen and interact with him to complete the Feathered Fugitives side quest. As a token of gratitude, Teli will reward you with a Silver Rupee.
