Dead Island 2 Guide – All blueprints mods & How to get them
All the blueprints we’ve found for Dead Island 2 add-ons are listed below.
Electrocutor mods
Effect: The electrocutor mod not only increases the damage done to zombies with each strike, but it also shocks them. Consecutive hits activate the electrified effect; throw some water on them to see the sparks fly.
Uncommon melee
- Resources required: Six scrap, four fasteners, two electronics, one synthetic fiber
Uncommon ranged
- Location: Right as you enter the Brentwood Sewers, you’ll find it on the Workbench.
- Resources required: Eight scrap, one gunpowder, one electronic part, one synthetic fiber
Cremator mods
Effect: Zombies take fire damage from the cremator mods, and even more when hit multiple times in quick succession; just watch their flesh burn.
Uncommon ranged
- Location: Found on the Workbench in Brentwood Sewers, just before the Venice Storm Tank.
- Resources required: Eight scrap, one synthetic fiber, one gunpowder, one aerosol
Uncommon melee
- Location: Found on the Workbench in Emma’s Mansion after returning from the Halperin Hotel for the first time.
- Resources required: Six scrap, four fasteners, two aerosol, one synthetic fiber
Rare melee
- Resources required: Eight scrap, six fasteners, four aerosol, three synthetic fibers
Liquidator mods
Effect: These mods add a chemical spray that does acid damage and a damage boost to your weapons. When you hit a zombie more than once in a row, the liquidator mod makes the zombie melt, which is satisfyingly gory.
Uncommon melee
- Location: You can find it after defeating Alesis Hernandez.
- Resources required: Six scrap, four fasteners, two chemicals, one synthetic fiber
Uncommon ranged
- Location: When you first arrive at Venice Beach, you can find it on the subway.
- Resources required: Eight scrap, one gunpowder, one chemical, one synthetic fiber
Impactor mods
Effect: Impactor mods deal big hits to zombie heads and increase damage and force, which can push zombies away. In fact, getting hit more than once makes the zombie traumatized. Hitting a traumatized (or vulnerable) zombie sends it flying, and anything it hits along the way will be damaged.
Uncommon melee
- Location: Found on the Halperin Hotel’s second floor workbench
- Resources required: Six scrap, four fasteners, two metal parts, one alloy
Rare melee
- Resources required: Eight scrap, six fasteners, four metal parts, three alloy
Puncturator mods
Effect: Poke holes in those zombies to deal bleed damage as well as the extra damage boost. Consecutive hits with a puncturator weapon also inflict the bleeding effect on the target, if you can call them that.
Uncommon melee
- Location: Rikky’s garage in Beverly Hills, beside the Workbench.
- Resources required: Six scrap, four fasteners, two wire, one alloy
Rare melee
- Location: Inside the Blue Crab in Venice Beach, on the Workbench.
- Resources required: Eight scrap, six fasteners, four wire, three alloy
Uncommon ranged
- Location: Obtained after completing the “Justifiable Zombicide” Main Quest in Beverly Hills.
- Resources required: Eight scrap, one gunpowder, one wire, one alloy
Mutilator mods
Effect: Using a mutilator mod to deal damage increases physical damage but also applies the weakened effect. While this does not kill zombies any faster, hitting a weakened zombie increases your stamina, allowing you to carry out more heavy attacks.
Uncommon melee
- Location: Carpenter’s workbench where you meet Jessie
- Resources required: Six scrap, four fasteners, two blades, one alloy
Consumable blueprints
There are also six consumable blueprints scattered around Los Angeles. These are critical items, such as medical kits and ammunition, that you can buy from traders or find around the environment, but if you run out, you may find yourself in a difficult situation. The six consumable blueprints are as follows:
- Med Kit
- Heavy Rounds
- Nailgun Cartridge
- Pistol Rounds
- Rifle Rounds
- Shotgun Shells
So far, that’s all the blueprints we’ve discovered in Dead Island 2.
