If you follow this guide, you won’t have any trouble with the Sewer vat puzzles during the Flushed quest in Dead Island 2.
Dead Island 2 Guide – How to solve the Sewer vat puzzles
You’ll be told to go to the sewers at the start of the Flushed quest. After a brief encounter with Patton, proceed through the sewers towards the Venice Storm Tank. When you arrive, you’ll need a code to proceed, which can be found in the window of the farthest room.
Then the two rooms down here that are locked can be accessed. Enter the caustic one and get the wheel out. Carefully attach it to the nearby water pipe, keeping in mind that the caustic may kill you first.
We’ll then need to rebalance three vats here, and luckily, we have three water valves with different numbers around the area.
To begin, turn the water pipe with the number 10 to rebalance the first vat, which also has the number 10. To rebalance the second vat, turn all three water pipes – 10, 45, and 20. Then, turn the water pipe with the number 45 to balance the final vat, which also has the number 45.
Back in the sewer, defeat the approaching horde, and the gate to the Venice Storm Tank will open. If you have an electrical weapon or the electrical upgrade for your gun, just shoot a few enemies and they’ll kill themselves. When they try to get to you, electricals in the water will hurt them a lot.
Make your way through the Venice Storm Tank until you reach a room filled with flesh and caustic, inhabited by two Slobbers. A circuit breaker is located at the end of this room, and the breaker you require can be found in a room to the left; there are fire valves in this area that must be turned off.
I recommend taking out the Slobbers from a height so you can easily avoid their vomit, or coaxing them into the fire-spouting valves if you’re feeling brave enough. If you have a medkit or two on hand, you can easily run through the fire and heal right away.
Continue running through the Heart of Darkness area. We’ll now complete the Flushed quest in Dead Island 2.
