On Friday night, the Memphis Grizzlies face the Milwaukee Bucks in an interconference matchup.
Memphis were defeated by the Pelicans on the road on Wednesday while Milwaukee defeated Chicagos at home. Memphis won the lone meeting 142-101 at home.
Update Injury for Memphis Grizzlies and Milwaukee Bucks
THE BUCKS
After clinching the top seed in the NBA playoffs, the Milwaukee Bucks may consider resting several regulars ahead of Friday’s game against the visiting Memphis Grizzlies.
Milwaukee (58-22) clinched the NBA’s best record with a 105-92 victory over the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday.
Star Giannis Antetokounmpo did miss that game due to right knee soreness, but the Bucks were most likely being cautious with the MVP candidate.
Given the circumstances, Antetokounmpo playing in Sunday’s regular-season finale at Toronto would be a surprise.
Antetokounmpo leads Milwaukee, which has finished with the best record in the league three of the last five seasons, with 31.1 points and 11.8 rebounds per game.
Milwaukee has had a less stressful season than the Grizzlies, but the Bucks are keeping an eye on a few injuries with two regular-season games remaining.
Khris Middleton left the game against Chicago in the first quarter due to right knee pain and did not return. The Bucks also played without Pat Connaughton and Grayson Allen, who were both out with right ankle sprains.

THE GRIZZLIES
The Memphis Grizzlies (50-30) need one win in their final two games to clinch the Western Conference’s second seed. They began their season-ending three-game road trip on Wednesday with a 138-131 overtime loss to the New Orleans Pelicans.
Memphis rested Morant (hip), Luke Kennard (ankle), and Xavier Tillman (ankle), and Jaren Jackson Jr. had a season-high 40 points, nine rebounds, and four blocks.
Morant has been adjusting to a new role since his eight-game suspension was lifted. But the two-time All-Star is still a key component of the Grizzlies’ offense.
Morant (hip) is not listed as injured for Friday’s game.
Morant sat out Wednesday’s game due to left hip soreness, but the problem appears to be minor, and he should return to his regular starting point guard role on Friday.
Morant has averaged 22.6 points, 7.6 assists, 5.6 rebounds, and 1.0 steals in 5 appearances since rejoining the starting lineup.
Memphis has had back-to-back 50-win seasons for the second time in franchise history, following a three-year streak in 2013-15.
The Grizzlies believe they’re in good shape heading into the postseason after overcoming Morant’s suspension and injuries to Steven Adams (knee) and Brandon Clarke (season-ending Achilles).
