Are Stephen Curry, Andrew Wiggins and Keldon Johnson playing tonight? Injury Report Spurs – Warriors

The San Antonio Spurs taking on the Golden State Warriors at Chase Center in San Francisco. And the Dubs look to sweep their regular-season series against the Spurs for the first time since 1997.

Updates Injury for San Antonio Spurs and Golden State Warriors

The Golden State Warriors get a break in their schedule to play the San Antonio Spurs to end their current four-game homestand.

The Warriors (40-37) have won four of their last five games, including victories against the Houston Rockets, Dallas Mavericks, Philadelphia 76ers, and New Orleans Pelicans, and have climbed into the last Western Conference playoff seed.

They hope to complete a season-sweeping three-game sweep of the Spurs (19-57), who have lost five in a row but have no more to lose now that they have ensured themselves a berth in the NBA’s bottom three.

They will be equal favorites with the Houston Rockets and the Detroit Pistons in the NBA draft lottery, also known as the Victor Wembanyama sweepstakes, for the chance to draft the French superstar.

The stakes are high for the Warriors. One loss separates them from the NBA play-in tournament, and they have a three-loss advantage over the Western Conference’s last-place team, the Mavericks, with five games remaining (three of which are on the road).

On Tuesday, Golden State was down 20 points to the Pelicans late in the first half and looked to be on the verge of a second consecutive loss before mounting an explosive comeback that resulted in a 120-109 victory on the back of an emotional surge by Draymond Green.

While a second technical foul would have finished Green’s night and resulted in an automatic one-game suspension for reaching 18, a review by the referee exonerated both players.

In Golden State’s two previous victories over the Spurs, Green had a very minor role, totaling 10 points, 19 rebounds, and 10 assists. Stephen Curry, who has scored 16 and 15 points in those two blowouts, didn’t help much either.

During Tuesday’s 120-109 win over the Pelicans, Curry contributed 39 points (14-25 FG, 8-15 3Pt, 3-4 FT), eight rebounds, eight assists, and three steals in 37 minutes of action.

For the season, Curry’s eight three-pointers are tied for second most. In a crucial Western Conference clash with high playoff stakes for both teams, his team’s explosive performance helped them overcome a large deficit.

Curry has a history of ramping up his performance in the playoffs, and his March numbers bear that out.

In his last 13 games, Curry has averaged 30 points, 6.2 rebounds, 6.0 assists, and a 50.2% field goal percentage.

There has been no word from the Warriors as to whether or not Andrew Wiggins will return to the club this season, despite their public support for him while he deals with a personal situation in private.

As he hasn’t played since just before the All-Star break, Wiggins will need some time to get back in shape before he can contribute to the squad.

All three of the Warriors’ games this week will be without him, and it’s looking increasingly doubtful that Wiggins will return even during the final week of the regular season.

For Spurs, without Keldon Johnson (left foot injury management), Devin Vassell (left knee injury management), and Jeremy Sochan, the San Antonio Spurs lost 128-117 to the Utah Jazz at home.

Any of them could come back to fight the Warriors again.
