The Warriors are about to enter the playoffs without Andrew Wiggins, one of their top players.
Steve Kerr has updated the latest information on Andrew Wiggins
The Golden State Warriors have not had a successful season so far. Last year they won the Larry O’Brien award, but this year they haven’t been able to live up to the hype.
Their season has been hampered by issues beyond their control, such as difficulties winning on the road and a subpar bench unit.
The Warriors’ season has been hampered by injuries to key players such as Stephen Curry and others. On top of that, Andrew Wiggins has been absent for a considerable amount of time due to personal issues.
Wiggins has not played since February 13 for the Warriors.
The Warriors forward has only played in 32.2 minutes per game in his 37 appearances this year. Wiggins has put up 17.1 ppg while also contributing 5.0 rpg, 2.3 assts, and 47.3% FG and 39.6% 3P% shooting from the field.
Wiggins is one of the Warriors’ most valuable players when he’s on the court. Because of his absence, other players have had to make significant contributions to their offense and defense.
A new update on Wiggins’ absence was provided, however, by head coach Steve Kerr just recently.
“Beyond that, once he’s back our training staff will be able to get with him and see where he is,” Kerr said Tuesday via ESPN.

Additionally, Kerr mentioned that despite Wiggins’ indefinite absence from the court, there is still a chance he will play again this season.
“There’s hope but it’s I guess indefinite, it’s also appropriate because we don’t know,” Kerr said.
Kerr has said that he will not shut down Wiggins for the year, so “there’s hope” that he will play again this season. It’s unclear if that will occur during the final six games of the regular season or later in the postseason (play-in games or playoffs).
