Injury Report Mavericks – Hornets: Will Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving play together?

The Dallas Mavericks needs to fix their problems quickly. The Charlotte Hornets give them their second chance in three days to do so on Sunday afternoon in Charlotte.

Updates Injury for Dallas Mavericks and Charlotte Hornets

The Mavericks (36-38) just lost at home twice in a row, including a big chance to win against the lowly Hornets on Friday.

Despite missing guards Terry Rozier (foot) and Kelly Oubre Jr. (personal reasons), Charlotte (24-51) won Friday night in Dallas, 117-109. (shoulder strain).

Yet for the Hornets, it wasn’t a surprising result. The Mavericks’ 69-55 halftime deficit to the Hornets was indicative of their lack of urgency.

At the start of NBA play on Saturday, the Mavericks were in 11th place in the Western Conference, which put them out of the play-in tournament.

Kyrie Irving, a guard for Dallas, returned from a sore foot he suffered earlier in the week to score 18 points on Friday.

Irving has played in only four of Dallas’ last eight games, before being traded to the Mavericks, Irving scored 28 and 33 points for the Brooklyn Nets in games earlier this season against Charlotte.

Meanwhile, Luka Doncic scored 34 points (12-23 FG, 2-9 3Pt, 8-10 FT), grabbed 10 boards, dished out eight assists, and blocked a shot in 37 minutes.

Doncic once again led the Mavericks, but he can’t carry the team by himself, and Dallas lost in a shocking fashion despite the fact that the star guard came within two assists of a triple-double.

Doncic’s recent play has been outstanding despite the team’s struggles. In six games played during the month of March, he has averaged 30.7 points, 9.2 assists, and 7.2 rebounds.
