Will Giannis Antetokounmpo and Keldon Johnson JOINING tonight’s game? Injury Update Spurs – Bucks

It’s an interconference battle on the hardwood when a pair of teams on opposite sides of the playoff cut line meet in Cream City. The Spurs are on the road as they make the trip to face the Bucks Wednesday night.

The latest injury update for San Antonio Spurs and Milwaukee Bucks

Two teams at opposite ends of the standings will meet Wednesday when the Milwaukee Bucks face the visiting San Antonio Spurs.

Milwaukee (51-20) has the best record in the NBA and has won 22 of their last 25 games. Meanwhile, San Antonio (19-53) is tied for the worst record in the NBA with Detroit (32-48) and Houston (29-42).

The Bucks are looking to split the season series after San Antonio won 111-93 at home on Nov. 11. In the loss, the Bucks shot just 32.7% without injured stars Giannis Antetokounmpo, Jrue Holiday, and Khris Middleton. Keldon Johnson led the Spurs with 29 points, and Jevon Carter led Milwaukee with 21.

For the rematch, Milwaukee is in much better shape. Although Joe Ingles was also sidelined for that November matchup, he has emerged as a crucial cog in the Bucks’ drive toward the Eastern Conference’s top seed now that the Big Three are healthy again.

On Sunday, Milwaukee beat the visiting Toronto Raptors 118-111 thanks in large part to the play of guards Khris Middleton and Joe Ingles, who combined for 26 points, 13 rebounds, and 10 assists.

In his last three games, Middleton has shot 51.2 percent overall and 47.6 percent from deep, while averaging 22.3 points, seven assists, and four rebounds.

In Sunday’s 118-111 victory over the Raptors, Giannis Antetokounmpo logged 36 minutes on the court and contributed 22 points (9-9 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 3-7 FT), 13 rebounds, 10 assists, and two blocks.

Antetokounmpo shot a perfect 9-for-9 from the field and finished with a triple-double to lead his team to victory. Despite his unusual passivity, he finished fourth on the team in field goal attempts, behind Brook Lopez, Khris Middleton, and Bobby Portis.

While his overall numbers were impressive, he shot an awful 3-of-7 from the free throw line.

The day before, Keldon Johnson hurt his neck and couldn’t play against the Pelicans.

Johnson, who was not listed on the initial injury report, is now officially listed as inactive for Tuesday’s game, as was widely anticipated.

The extent of Johnson’s neck injury is unknown, but he may miss both halves of San Antonio’s back-to-back set against Milwaukee on Wednesday.
