The latest injury update for San Antonio Spurs and New Orleans Pelicans
Two teams that had recently suffered crushing defeats — the New Orleans Pelicans and the San Antonio Spurs — showed remarkable resilience by coming back to win on Sunday.
When they face each other again on Tuesday night in New Orleans, they’ll be looking to build on that victory.
With a 19-52 record, the San Antonio Spurs are one of the four teams mathematically eliminated from playoff contention in the Western Conference.
Although San Antonio has gone 5-5 over its last 10, they are a dismal 6-27 on the road this year, where they are averaging just 112.8 PPG (23rd in the NBA) while allowing 122.1 PPG (last in the NBA).
The Spurs have been led by Keldon Johnson, who recorded 29 points (13-21 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 1-5 FT), 12 rebounds, five assists and one steal across 33 minutes during Sunday’s 126-118 win over Atlanta.
In the win on Sunday, Johnson recorded the most rebounds of anyone on the winning team, and he also established a new personal best for the season.
For the third time this season, and the first time since his 36-point, 11-rebound performance on January 11 against Brooklyn, he finished with at least 25 points and 10 rebounds.
For injury, San Antonio will be without Khem Birch and Charles Bassey while Doug McDermott, Graham, and Jeremy Sochan are day-to-day.

Brandon Ingram scored 26 points on 12-of-24 shooting (from the field), added one three-pointer and two free throws, and dished out a game-high nine assists in 39 minutes for New Orleans.
The Duke product not only scored a game-high 20 points, but also dished out a season-high nine assists, coming up short of his second double-double.
Since missing two games in the middle of March, Ingram has returned stronger than ever, playing 38.3 minutes per game and averaging 26.3 points, 7.0 assists, 4.0 rebounds, and 1.4 steals/blocks.
For injury, Zion Williamson, EJ Liddell, and Jose Alvarado will not be in New Orleans this weekend.
