The latest injury report Philadelphia 76ers and Cleveland Cavaliers
Despite suffering two devastating losses to New York and Boston in early February, Philadelphia has won 11 of its last 14 games.
The Sixers went 3-2 on their five-game road trip, taking down Milwaukee, Indiana, and Minnesota before returning home to defeat Portland and Washington.
This weekend they will travel to Charlotte and Indianapolis, as part of a three-game road trip. Philadelphia, currently 3.5 games behind Milwaukee for first place and 1 game behind Boston, is attempting to make a late run at the Eastern Conference’s top seed.
On Sunday against the Wizards, Joel Embiid scored a game-high 34 points to once again lead the 76ers in scoring. He continued his outstanding season by scoring at least 39 points in each of the previous three games during that span.
Embiid is the leading scorer, rebounder, and facilitator for the 76ers with 33.4 points, 10.0 boards, and 4.1 dimes per game. James Harden is the second leading scorer on the team with 21.8 points per game while also contributing 10.8 dimes and 6.2 boards per contest.
The Cavaliers have the league’s best scoring defense and will be a tough opponent.
Jalen McDaniels, a power forward, may not play due to an ankle injury, but he has been subpar this season, averaging just 6.3 points and 3.8 rebounds per game.
On Tuesday night, the Cavaliers won 120-104 against the Hornets, their second victory over the team in as many days.
They were missing All-Stars Donovan Mitchell (sprained finger) and Jarrett Allen (eye contusion). Mitchell was hurt more than a week ago. Furthermore, his participation in Wednesday’s game is still questionable.
