The 62-year-old Countdown legend attended the game on Tuesday alongside royalty like Princess Anne’s daughter Zara Tindall and her husband Mike Tindall (March 14).
She arrived in a white blouse and black corset and leather bottoms at Cheltenham Racecourse, beaming for the cameras.
The former I’m a Celebrity contestant took advantage of the sunny day by applying heavy makeup to complement her natural beauty and hiding her eyes behind dark shades.
Carol wore her signature blonde locks in loose waves and accessorized with a feathered fascinator.
Determined not to feel the slight chill in the air. Carol topped off her gorgeous ensemble with a chic fur coat and sleek black leather gloves.
Before making an appearance at Cheltenham, Carol bragged about the new room at Cambridge University that bears her name.
The mathematical prodigy studied engineering at Cambridge before appearing on Countdown, a game show broadcast on Channel 4 from 1982 until 2008.
She went on to host shows like “Loose Women” and “The Pride of Britain Awards,” and in recognition of her TV work, the Queen appointed her a Member of the Order of the British Empire.
In honor of her former teacher, whom she remembers as a “special human” who “encouraged girls to attend university,” Carol visited her alma mater recently.
She then revealed to her adoring public the buttery chamber designated in her honor. A buttery is a large cellar room where food and drink, typically wines, are stored for guests.
Carol posed for a photo next to the newly installed plaque that read “The Carol Vorderman Buttery” above the entranceway. She then captioned the image, writing: “A special room (where the wine is sold) named after you know who!! In a Cambridge College,”
“Very proud,” she added before she showed fans a snippet of the college which she “loved,” stating it was an “honour to be a part of it.”
