Cleveland and Charlotte will meet for the second time in as many days when they compete against one another on Tuesday night in Charlotte.
Update for Cleveland Cavaliers and Charlotte Hornets Injuries
FOR THE CLEVELAND CAVALIERS
The Cavaliers have been on a roll lately, winning four of their last five games, including Sunday’s 114-108 victory over the Hornets in Charlotte.
Cleveland is in fourth place in the Eastern Conference and has won four of its previous five games, while Charlotte is in last place.
The Cavaliers rallied for a 114-108 victory on Sunday, and Tuesday will be their second meeting in as many days at the same arena.
No pregame gathering would be complete without some discussion on the players’ physical condition.
This game is one that Donovan Mitchell plans to participate in on Tuesday.
After sitting out Friday’s loss in Miami with a strained quad, Garland led all scorers with 28 points on Sunday. After suffering an eye injury late in Friday night’s game, teammate Jarrett Allen didn’t play on Sunday.
When healthy, Allen plays an average of 33 minutes per game for the Cavs.
Kelly Oubre Jr. had been the Hornets’ leading scorer in six straight games before sitting out Sunday’s game with a sore back sustained in Saturday night’s defeat to Utah. Until just before kickoff, his playing status was unknown, although he may not be out for too long.
On Sunday, Charlotte’s 19 turnovers harmed the Hornets, but the team also made 41 points thanks to 25 assists.
Garland returned to the starting lineup, and Caris LeVert took his old reserve role. Nonetheless, LaVert added 15 points and 4 assists to the team’s effort.
As a result of their efforts, Cleveland’s bench scored 31 points to Charlotte’s 17.

FOR THE CHARLOTTE HORNETS
Charlotte has lost five of its last seven games prior to the start of this five-game homestand.
However, the Hornets will be without starting point guard LaMelo Ball for the remainder of the season due to an ankle injury. Mark Williams, the team’s center, has missed the past two games with a thumb injury.
Terry Rozier, a guard for the Hornets, has scored 20 points or more in seven of his last eight games.
On Sunday, the Hornets blew a 14-point lead in the first half.
The offense’s inconsistency and the defense’s fouling problems are to blame for some of this. At the end of the game, despite being down by double digits, the Cavaliers had a decisive advantage from the charity stripe.
The game basically came down to turnovers and fouls, according to Hornets guard Dennis Smith Jr. “In my opinion, there is no other layer of complexity involved. Just turnovers and fouls occurred. Even if many of our mistakes were unintentional, we still committed a high number of fouls.”
Tuesday’s game is the last of a four-game road swing for Cleveland, which also included two contests at Miami and Charlotte.
