On March 5, 2023, the Memphis Grizzlies will travel to Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California to take on the Los Angeles Clippers in a Western Conference matchup of the 2022-23 NBA season.
These two teams have never faced each other before this season. During the previous season, the Grizzlies were able to sweep the Clippers by winning all four games and covering the spread in each.
The latest injury report for Memphis Grizzlies and Los Angeles Clippers
Ja Morant, a top player for the Memphis Grizzlies, will miss the team’s upcoming games in Los Angeles. The Grizzlies’ trip to the City of Angels begins this Sunday against the Clippers.
The NBA launched an investigation after Morant was seen brandishing a gun on Instagram Live early Saturday morning, and the franchise suspended him as a result.
Tyus Jones should take over as starting point guard until the injured player recovers. On Thursday night against the Warriors, Morant will likely make his return, which is good news for fantasy players.
Morant will not play for the first time since February 5th, as he will be sidelined for Tuesday’s game against the Lakers. He just scored 27 points against the Denver Nuggets, but his team lost (113-97).
Morant has led Memphis to a 6-3 record since February 7 with an average of 26.1 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 7.6 assists. The Grizzlies’ loss on Friday to the Nuggets dropped them from first to second in the Western Conference.
After suffering an Achilles injury on Friday, forward Brandon Clarke will be out for the rest of the season, adding insult to injury for the Grizzlies.
And guard Dillon Brooks, who collected his league-leading 16th technical foul on Friday, will miss Sunday’s game due to suspension.

The Clippers have dropped five straight games heading into Sunday’s contest, with their most recent loss coming in a heartbreaker on the road against the Sacramento Kings on Friday, 128-127.
With seven seconds left, Sacramento’s Domantas Sabonis converted two free throws, while Los Angeles’ Paul George missed a game-winning 3-pointer at the buzzer.
After missing the whole 2017–18 season due to knee surgery, Kawhi Leonard decided to take a load-management day off on Friday.
On Sunday, the Grizzlies will face the Spurs, and Leonard (rest) will be available to play.
Due to the fact that Friday was the second night of a back-to-back, Leonard did not play in the game against the Kings.
The veteran’s stat line for the past month is as follows: 26.4 points on 50.54.90 percent shooting, 6.2 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 1.6 steals, and 1.0 block in 37.2 minutes per game.
Russell Westbrook scored 28 points for the Clippers in his fifth game with the franchise, but they are still winless in games he has played in. It was Westbrook’s second game with the Clippers, and the Clippers’ second tough-luck loss against the Kings in a little over a week.
Clippers sharpshooter Norman Powell did not play Friday due to a shoulder injury sustained in the previous game against the Warriors.
Ivica Zubac has missed the past four games with a strained right calf, and Marcus Morris Sr. missed Friday’s game for the Clippers due to an elbow ailment.
The Clippers and Grizzlies will play each other for the first time with only one month left in the regular season. Two further games, on March 29 and 31, will be played between the two teams in Memphis.
