Injury Reports Houston Rockets – Oklahoma City Thunder

THE ROCKETS

The Rockets have been struggling over the past week, and they’ve lost six straight games coming into this one. They will try to end their losing streak with a win over the Thunder, which would be their second win in the last nine games.

  • Kevin Porter – Out vs. Thunder

Kevin Porter will not play against the Thunder on Wednesday because he hurt his foot.

Porter will miss the Rockets’ last game before the All-Star break. This will be his 17th straight game that he doesn’t play in. Over the next 10 days, Houston will try to find out how the USC product is doing. For now, his next chance to play will be Feb. 24 against Golden State.

THE THUNDER

The Thunder had won their last two games in a row, but the Pelicans beat them in their last game. They will try to get over the loss by beating the Rockets, which would give them their third win in their last four games.

  • Is it possible for Aleksej Pokusevski to return tonight?

According to Andrew Schlecht of The Athletic, Pokusevski (lower leg) was spotted on the court Monday doing some light shooting.

The Thunder haven’t given a definitive update on Pokusevski’s recovery from the non-displaced left tibial plateau fracture he suffered on Dec. 27, but the fact that he wasn’t wearing a cast or brace on his lower leg on Monday suggests that he’s making good progress in his recovery.

The 21-year-return old’s to game action is uncertain until he can resume practice in some capacity.

Aside from a miraculous recovery after the All-Star break, Pokusevski’s absence is likely to continue into March.
