Damar Hamlin talks about the online rumor that he was cloned.

Damar Hamlin cloned

Damar Hamlin of the Bills shut down a bizarre internet conspiracy that arose after he collapsed with a cardiac arrest during a game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Damar Hamlin’s clone post on Instagram was captioned with the ninja emoji

For the first time since last Sunday, he was seen in public at the Bills’ playoff game against the Bengals, where he was seen cheering on his team. A photo of the player in front of his own mural was posted on 2 January, mocking the rumor that he had died on the field that day. His ninja emoji-accompanied Instagram post simply read “clone.”

The player also thanked fans and supporters from across the world for “all the GENUINE love, thoughts [and] prayers”, as he promised that they will “hear” from him soon.

After going into cardiac arrest during a tackle, the 24-year-old was given automated external defibrillation and cardiopulmonary resuscitation before being rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition.

However, not long after Hamlin’s cardiac incident, a strange conspiracy theory began to circulate that he actually passed away on the field. SB Nation, which is owned by Vox Media, reported that conspiracy theorists speculate that the FBI and NFL secretly sent his body to the Cincinnati Medical Centre to cover up his death.

Hamlin, making his first public appearance since leaving the hospital 11 days prior, was met with loud cheers and a slew of hugs from his adoring fans.

The Buffalo bills tweeted a video of him being driven into the stadium on a team cart. Then, he was taken to a luxurious room by himself: “Welcome home, [Damar Hamlin]”

Official team Twitter account: “We’re so glad you’re here.” They posted another video of him cheering for the team.

Since being released from the hospital, Hamlin has been making “almost daily” trips to the team facility, as reported by head coach Sean McDermott.

Despite his presence, the Bills were defeated by the Bengals, 27-10, and never made it to the AFC Championship Game.
