FFVII Crisis Core: How to get the Laughing Safe Code?
To begin, head left at the top of Shinra Manor and enter the first door on the right. The Laughing Safe is located here, along with a slip of paper on the floor. This piece of paper will serve as your guide for unlocking the safe and figuring out the combination. It will provide you with the four things required to crack the code.
- First Digit: Knowledge Overflowing
- Second Digit: Unwelcome Faces
- Third Digit: Tasty Reminders of Home
- Fourth Digit: Resting on All Four Feet
There are four locked oroms in the manor, each with a keyhole. Once you’ve located them, look through their keyhold and count the number of items that correspond to the hints above.
Leave the room and proceed to the door at the far end of the hall. Through the keyhole, you’ll see a room with a bed, dresser, and random objects. Look around the room for the purple Apples and food cans. Your third digit is this. 
From here, go downstairs and look through the ground-floor doors. There are a lot of monsters floating around here. Count the number of monsters to get your second digit.
Cross the ground floor to the other locked door and look through it. There is a room with chairs here. The fourth digit is the number of chairs.
Finally, head back upstairs, go right, and then left to find another door. When you open it, you’ll find yourself in a room with a bookshelf. Count the number of books on top of the shelf. This is your first digit.
Put all of those together and you’ll get the Laughing Safe code.
