Signalis Guide – Magpie Box & Computer Antenna Puzzle
Apartments (Ground Floor): Computer Room
It’s nearly impossible to overlook the Computer Antenna puzzle in Signalis’ Rotfront zone. That’s because the machine is right next to the Blockwart Bedroom save point. It’s also where you’ll get the submachine gun.
When you first boot up the PC, it only has a few documents. The most important of these is “Re: Bookstore Keys,” which provides information about keypad codes. Remember to click the “Download All” button to save the documents to your menu.
Apartments (Upper Floor): Handwheel and Magpie Box
Then, proceed west and up the ladder to the upper floor. Check this large apartment for the Handwheel (you’ll need it later). You can also look in the Hospital Room at the end of the corridor for the Magpie Box.
I’m not sure if you need to change your radio frequency right now to hear magpies chirping.. In my case, I was able to hear the sounds by tuning in to frequencies ranging from 230 to 232 kHz.
Apartments (Ground Floor and Upper Floor): Blue Diskette and Red Diskette
Return to the ground floor and investigate the Pipeworks. Place the Handwheel to get rid of the fumes. Enter the final door and take the Blue Diskette.
For the Red Diskette, I’m trying to jog my memory here. If the upper-floor hallway door is locked, you may need to loop around. To get to the Metro Station, take the Meat Grinder east of the Pipeworks. Continue straight until you reach the Computer Store save point.
The fire escape ladder that returns you to the upper floor is just beyond that. The Butterfly Pareidolia Safe puzzle is in one of these rooms, and the Red Diskette is in the other.
Triangulating the signal for the Magpie Box and Star Card
Insert both diskettes into the computer terminal from earlier. The screen should display additional folders and applications. For now, let’s try to solve the Magpie Box puzzle in Signalis.
Here’s what you need to do:
- Click Antenna to launch triangulation software.
- The goal here is to move the left and right antennae while keeping your radio tuned to one of the two frequencies.
- You should hear a pulsing noise, indicating that you’re almost there. This sound will be quite loud and distinct from garbled static.
- In my case, the triangulated spot was #43.
- Click on the Transmit icon and select Magpie. Enter that number and send the message.
Return to the puzzle room, inspect the container, and turn on your radio. This will cause the box to open. Inside, you’ll find the Star Card and the Store Key (which is required to obtain the Sun Card).
The Death Card’s keypad code
Remember when I mentioned “Re: Bookstore Keys”? According to Itou, the clue is twin daughters born on Vineta’s birthday. You can find their records in the Medibank folder.
Check out the Backyard in the Commercial Corridor on the ground floor. To open the gate, enter the code on the keypad.
Isa can be found inside the store. She’s in a weakened state, and she melts into a pool of blood. Examine the cabinet and select the Death Card.
