In the aftermath of her $10.3 million court case loss to ex-Johnny Depp, Amber Heard vowed to focus on ‘full-time’ motherhood – and it appears that the actress is committed to doing just that, as she was spotted enjoying a low-key outing in London with her one-year-old daughter Oonagh Paige yesterday.
After the missing US$10.3 million lawsuit with ex Johnny Depp, the Amber Heard to focus on ‘full-time’ motherhood
The 36-year-old actress appeared happy and relaxed as she strolled into a wine shop, where she was seen perusing the selection while cuddling her young daughter. Heard dressed casually for the occasion, wearing a gray skirt and top with a black pea coat on top to keep warm in London’s cold weather.
The film comes just over four months after a jury ruled firmly in favor of the Pirates of the Caribbean star, 59, in her and Depp’s highly contentious $100 million defamation trial.
She finished the look with a pair of laced-up combat boots; she wore no makeup and wore her long, blonde hair up in a ponytail.
Little Oonagh was dressed in a fuzzy jacket, blue pants, and pink sneakers, as well as a white hat with a pom-pom on each side.
After leaving the liquor store, the Aquaman star and her companion went for a walk, they even stopped to get some food, as the 36-year-old was seen eating an unidentified snack from a white carton.
Heard announced her pregnancy on Instagram in July 2021, writing that she was both “the mom and the dad” to Oonagh.
‘I hope we arrive at a point in which it’s normalized to not want a ring in order to have a crib,’ she added.
Exes Heard and Depp fought in court over whether Heard’s 2018 Washington Post essay accusing Depp of domestic abuse defamed Depp.
Following a months-long trial, Heard was ordered to pay the actor $10 million in compensatory damages and $5 million in punitive damages, though the judge reduced the second payment to $350,000 per Virginia law.
Heard received $2 million in compensatory damages in addition to the $100 million she sought in her countersuit against her ex.
Afterward, in an interview with the Today show, Heard called the verdict ‘unfair,’ and stated that she would’stand by every word of her testimony until the day she dies.’
While speaking to Today host Savannah Guthrie, the actress reiterated her claims that Depp was physically abusive to her during their one-year marriage, accusing him of ‘lying’ on the stand when he said he ‘never hit her.’
She also told the outlet that she was looking forward to focusing on being a mother after the trial: ‘I get to be a mom full time, without having to juggle calls with lawyers. ‘
‘I want to move on with my life. I have a baby. I have to move on. I want to move on, and I want Johnny to move on, too.’
However, it does not appear that she has moved on, as Heard recently filed an appeal against the defamation trial.
Heard, who still owes Depp $10.3 million in damages, claimed in documents filed with the Virginia Court of Appeals that her ex-husband misled the jury and that the trial lacked ‘clear and convincing evidence’ of actual malice.
She also criticized the court for allegedly failing to overturn the damages awarded to both her and Depp after ruling that they both defamed each other.
Following the trial, it was reported that Heard was living in Mallorca, Spain, with her daughter and her partner, cinematographer Bianca Butti, but she now appears to have jetted off to London.
