Adele
Adele says she has never been attracted to what fame brings with it and believes it’s quite negative: “Fame is not real, and I don’t want to live a fake life. Sometimes I have my moments, but not that often, when I think it would be a lot easier to be on a yacht all the time… Like other people do… But I don’t want to be on a yacht – I’m scared of the sea… I don’t want to give into that. I find fame quite frightening and I find it really toxic… It’s very charming and it’s very persuasive but it doesn’t last, so why would you want to get involved in something that you will miss so much once it’s gone – and it always goes…”
David Beckham
David reveals he was only ever interested in the sport he was playing and never the fame that came with it: “I never wanted to be famous. I just wanted to be a footballer. I wanted to be a professional footballer and I wanted to play for Manchester United and play for England. Obviously, though, I have been very privileged – and I am very proud of everything that has come with that.”

Evangeline never set out to seek fame and says she is so private that she never liked the idea of being so exposed in the spotlight: “I stumbled into this job on a whim. Khloe had a taste of fame when she was younger and didn’t enjoy the experience: “I never thought about being famous, it was never something that I aspired to be. One of my friends, Nicole Richie, was in the spotlight when we were younger. The paparazzi would follow us and I’d be like, ‘Go away, I don’t want to be in these pictures, this is too much.”
Robert Pattinson
Robert admits fame was never something he desired: “Maybe because I never wanted to become famous… The more famous I became, the more I wanted to hide out. The hype was irritating to me. It’s a lot better now. The Twilight fans got older, and it’s more relaxed now.”
