Adding yet another branch to their already massive clothing empire, the Kardashian sisters have just unveiled their new ‘Kardashian Kids’ collection which they’ll be selling exclusively through Babies’R’Us from March this year. A preview of the collection shows an adorable baby girl modeling an animal print look paired with a white cardigan. The designs will range in age between 0 -24 months. The idea behind the clothing line first came when eldest sister Kourtney, who is a mother of two, suggested it when she was pregnant with her second child Penelope.
Kim reveals that once she had her daughter North, she realized she was interested in the idea too. Kim commented that motherhood has opened her eyes to what kids need and she now feels experienced enough to be able to create the collection with that knowledge:
“Until you have your own child, you don’t realize how important it is for fabrics to be extra soft and accessible.”
Kim added that she thinks dressing kids should be a fun and fashionable experience and it’s a part of motherhood she has enjoyed:
“As a mom, I cherish the time my baby and I spend together getting her dressed.”
Although Kim is known to flaunt baby Nori’s designer clothing gifts via her Instagram, the new mom admits that it makes more sense for kids to be dressed in affordable designs because of their growth rate. She stated that she would dress North in pieces from Target because of this reason:
“Kids grow up so fast. You need affordable clothes!”
