Kate Winslet has admitted that she often finds her job very difficult. She says that when a very important scene is coming up she often ends up vomiting because of a mixture of nerves and adrenaline. She calls acting “bloody scary” and says she still wonders if she is any good at it. Kate comments that she often dreads those important scenes because of what she goes through:

‘I think you get really good at mind-f***ing yourself, to be honest. Acting is bloody scary. I still have moments when I think, ‘I can’t do this – everybody thinks I’m absolutely sh*t.’ There are scenes I absolutely dread – there was a scene in ‘Labor Day’; the whole courtroom sequence in ‘The Reader’. I often throw up, which I’m a bit embarrassed about. It’s the adrenaline.”

Kate recently gave birth to a son named ‘Bear’ who she welcomed with husband Ned Rocknroll. She already has two other children, Mia and Joe. She says that she couldn’t have completed her recent role in ‘Labor Day’ if she wasn’t a mother already. The actress explains that it was very important that she was already a mother because the part she takes on is all about her desire to have a family. She commented:

”It’s a part I could not have played had I not been a parent. Ultimately, I was drawn to it because it’s a film about the desire for a family – and family has played such a role in my life. It’s my core, really.”
