Amanda Seyfried has taken on a daring role as porn actress Linda Lovelace for a new biopic but the actress claims that despite the story being about a pornstar, the content isn’t that graphic. She admits that she ruled out doing full frontal nudity for the part because she didn’t want to be that naked on screen:
“There’s no full-frontal nudity. I want to save something for my husband!”
Speaking on one particular naughty scene which sees her simulate oral sex on her co-star Peter Sarsgaard, Amanda says that she was sucking on a popsicle and couldn’t stop laughing throughout the whole thing. Luckily, Peter wasn’t put off and she says that he is a very laidback person as well as a pro:
”It really wasn’t that graphic. I used a popsicle to simulate going down on him and I was laughing the entire time. The way the film is shot, it looks sexual but it didn’t feel that sexual or invasive while we were doing those scenes. What’s great about Peter is that he’s the easiest person to do anything with. You can be like, ‘Drop your pants’ and he’ll just shrug and say, ‘Alright.’ ”
Amanda says that Peter, who plays her abusive husband, found it harder to act violent to a woman on screen than to film all of the sex scenes involved and it was a struggle for them both:
”The violence was really much more of an issue for him and also for me to react to. I had to go someplace else to get through those scenes.”
