While there are plenty of stars who’ve altered their appearance with surgery, not too many actually admit they’ve had something done. However, when it goes wrong, or when it looks obvious, stars are forced to come out and share their surgery experiences, and some do actually regret going under the knife. These 7 stars have all spoken openly how their surgery that went wrong or what they have had done, admitting that they simply shouldn’t have.
Heidi Montag
Heidi Montag had 10 cosmetic procedures done at once, but was left with a washed-up career and scars all over her body. “I would love to not be ‘plastic girl’ or whatever they call me, surgery ruined my career and my personal life and just brought a lot of negativity into my world. I wish I could jump into a time machine and take it all back. Instead, I’m always going to feel like Edward Scissorhands.”
Nicole Kidman
Nicole barely looks as though she has aged a day since the start of her career. However, she has admitted to using botox in the past, but didn’t like the results so no longer uses it: “I didn’t like how my face looked afterwards, now I don’t use it anymore — I can move my forehead again!”
Mickey Rourke
Mickey Rourke went to get face surgery after his boxing career left his looks damaged. However, he believes he went to a bad surgeon who didn’t do a good job: “Most of it was to mend the mess of my face because of the boxing, but I went to the wrong guy to put my face back together.”
Kourtney Kardashian
Kourtney got breast implants when she was 22 years old. By the time she reached 30, they were causing her discomfort and she regretted them: “I just got the idea in my head one day, and that was that. There was no talking me out of it, it was so dumb. They don’t feel like part of my body. If I’d researched it, I probably wouldn’t have gotten a boob job.”
Kenny Rogers
Singer Kenny Rogers got an eye lift back in 2002, but it didn’t work out as he had hoped. Now the singer wishes he hadn’t changed anything, but isn’t about to dwell on it: “Looking back at some pictures of myself, my eyes were a lot warmer than they are now, and I miss that. As you go through life, you make choices,” he says of the surgery. “Some are good, some are bad.”
Jennifer Grey
Dirty Dancing actress Jennifer Grey had a nose job to remove the bump at the end of her nose. However, after the surgery was complete, she didn’t feel as though she looked like herself anymore: “I went in the operating theatre a celebrity — and came out anonymous,” says the Dirty Dancing star. “I’ll always be this once-famous actress nobody recognizes… because of a nose job.”
Jamie Lee Curtis
Actress Jamie Lee Curtis experimented with a few different procedures in the past, but she felt afterwards that they didn’t benefit her at all: “I’ve had a little lipo, I’ve had a little Botox, and you know what? None of it works – nobody tells you if you take fat from your body in one place, it comes back in another place.”
