Where does an Oscar look most at home? These 5 stars say they stash their glitzy awards away in their bathrooms. Not wanting to plaster their achievements all over their homes, they’ve decided to keep their awards mostly out of sight by storing them in their luxurious bathrooms. Some do it because they want to remain humble, while others even let guests play with their Oscar while using the toilet.

Adele says she often sits on the toilet and marvels at her achievements because they’re in plain sight: “I kick myself every day when I go for a poo and see my awards and think, ‘Wow, I did good (sic)!’ That’s the truth.”
Emma says they look the best in the bathroom: “They look far too outre anywhere else. They’re great big, gold, shiny things. They’re up there tarnishing quietly along with everything else I own, including my body.”
Jason has won countless awards for his music but doesn’t like to have them on show so stores them in the bathroom: “That seems to be the one spot where all of (my) sales awards seem to be stored. I do think (awards) are fun to share. But I certainly wouldn’t hang them anywhere else in my house. They are not that fun.”
Simmons keeps his Oscar on top of a mini-fridge in the bathroom of his Los Angeles home: “It’s a lovely little statue. It’s still kind of surreal when I walk past it. It’s like, ‘There’s my Oscar.’ I don’t know it will ever become commonplace.”
Kate leaves her Oscar in the bathroom so guests can use it: “The whole point is for everybody to pick it up and go, ‘I’d like to thank my son and my dad’—and you can always tell when someone has, because they’re in there a little bit longer after they flushed. They’ll come out looking slightly pink-cheeked. It’s hysterical.”
