With so much pressure to age backwards – at least regarding looks – it is easy to see why so many celebrities resort to botox and other surgeries. However, these 5 stars have embraced the natural ageing process and say they aren’t worried about getting wrinkles. Opening up on how they feel about those little facial lines, these stars have said that they aren’t going to obsess over the little details and think it’s just realistic and normal to embrace looking older as the years roll by.
Cindy thinks wrinkles aren’t worth focusing on or feeling bad about as they’re natural: “When you don’t have anything interesting to do, you start thinking too much about what you don’t have anymore. When you can appreciate fulfilling things like family, work, friends or the possibility of helping other people, you will have a focus. The list could go on. But to be standing in front of a mirror and to moan, ‘Oh my God, I’ve just found another wrinkle!’ That’s embarrassing. I don’t have time for that.”
- Emily VanCamp
Emily believes wrinkles tell a story: “I look at my grandmother and think, Wow, I hope I have those happy winkles. You see the map of her on her face, and she’s so beautiful. She wouldn’t be my grandma without those beautiful lines.”
Gwyneth has embraced her wrinkles: ”I believe in taking care of yourself and looking great, but I also really appreciate where I am in my life. I’m pretty content with my looks at this point. I like my wrinkles and you know, I like what I see. Of course I can get into the frame of mind where I get critical about this and that, but I really try to not do that and try to appreciate the incredible life I’ve lived and all I’ve learned. I like that all of that is written on my face.”
- Heidi Klum
Heidi doesn’t feel the need to cover her wrinkles: “I don’t have anxiety about it, so I’m not running to get Botox. Maybe that will change, but I don’t think so. I feel comfortable in my skin and comfortable with aging, so I think it’s okay that I get wrinkles.”
- Sofia Vergara
Sofia doesn’t worry about wrinkles and thinks women should focus on health: “I think if a woman stays fit and lives a healthy lifestyle, then she can project beauty no matter what her age. I am not worrying about wrinkles or anything like that.”
