Everyone’s weight changes over time, some more than others, and these 5 celebrities have all spoken on their changing weight which has been in the spotlight. Christina Aguilera spoke on her weight after she was criticized for packing on the pounds recently, while Demi Moore decided to comment on her weight loss after she was rumored to have an eating disorder, commenting that she accepts her body despite struggles she has had in the past.
Christina Aguilera
Christina comments that her size doesn’t matter because she is happy with her life: “I’ve been on all spectrums. I’ve been in this [business] for a long time. I came out on the scene when I was 17 years old. You can never be too much of anything. You can never be too perfect, too thin, too curvy, voluptuous, this, that. I’ve been on all sides of the spectrum as far as any female in this business. I’m happy with where I’m at. I have a boyfriend that loves my body. I love my body. My son is healthy and happy. That’s all that matters.”
Nicole Richie
Nicole Richie spoke on putting on weight during pregnancy, which she accepts because she believes it is what is healthy during that time:”To me, numbers don’t mean anything. If I gain 40 pounds, if I gain 50 pounds, then that’s obviously what my body needs to do. I’m totally OK with that.”
Kourtney Kardashian
Kourtney Kardashian opened up on how it feels to lose weight after giving birth: “I’m just starting to get comfortable being in a bikini again. I’m excited. Scott told me recently that he could tell my body was changing. He also said he could tell I’m noticing it because I’ll do these stupid dances in the mirror.”
Jessica Simpson
Jessica Simpson can’t believe how talked about her size is: “People talked about my weight for an entire year. Being famous for gaining 10lbs is ridiculous! I didn’t feel as fat as everybody was making me out to be. Even the president felt he had to make a comment – although I think he was caught off guard as the picture was thrown in front of his face! I have a white girl booty. I don’t have a big butt. I’d rather have a happy medium and take some off my chest and put it towards my butt so I could balance out a bit.”
Demi Moore
Demi says she has struggled with her weight in the past, but is more accepting of it these days: “I think I sit today in a place of greater acceptance of my body, and that includes not just my weight but all of the things that come with your changing body as you age to now experiencing my body as extremely thin – thin in a way that I never imagined somebody would be saying to me, ‘You’re too thin, and you don’t look good.’ I have had a love-hate relationship with my body. When I’m at the greatest odds with my body, it’s usually because I feel my body’s betraying me, whether that’s been in the past, struggling with my weight and feeling that I couldn’t eat what I wanted to eat, or that I couldn’t get my body to do what I wanted it to do.”
