British rapper Dizzee often gets pent-up anger so he now releases that energy by doing boxing regularly: “I’ve been spending my time doing Thai boxing in Kent – it’s great. I do it because I like beating people up.”
Scottish actor Gerard Butler needed to de-stress after working on ‘Olympus Has Fallen’, so he took off around the world:”I’ve been making ‘Olympus’ for a long time, so I thought it was time for a break. I decided to travel. In the past six or seven weeks, I have been to Scotland, England, Italy, Switzerland, Thailand, Mexico, Columbia – all for different reasons. But, mostly for travelling, just going to places and seeing friends… But, the real highlight for me was in Thailand, becoming a monk. I was hiding out in temples a lot.”
Jennifer enjoys taking long baths with luxurious oils: “I make a lot of time for baths. It’s the only thing I do to de-stress. I don’t drink or smoke. It’s all I have. So I put a lot into it. I like milk baths and powders and oils. And I love Jo Malone bath oils – the grapefruit, the lime, and basil, and the rose.”
Nicolas enjoys some karaoke to unwind, especially if he gets to scream the lyrics: “It’s my way to de-stress. My favourites are classics like My Way and I do it Sex Pistorls-style. I like to scream the songs out instead of singing. When we were filming National Treasure I lost my voice after a night out so I had to dub the scenes later.”
Tom likes to take to the air to forget his worries and often hops in his own plane to get away from it all: “I’m not all work, work, work. I do duck out and fly my plane to de-stress. “Everyone says, ‘Where is Tom?’ as I scream past, shattering the windows.”
