Obviously there isn’t any shame in playing video games and taking computers apart, but these 5 stars like to keep their nerdy hobbies mostly a secret, although they have spoken on them once. These 5 secret nerds all like to unwind by trying to top their latest highest score, or get pleasure from taking apart their computer and putting it back together again. Others are just huge Sci-Fi fans even though they also really like fashion! These is a little nerd in us all, and these 5 stars aren’t afraid to let their secret geek side show.
Amerie
Amerie is addicted to playing the Sims and has even managed to get Kelly Rowland obsessed with the game too: “I am addicted to The Sims. I live out a virtual life online. I think it’s seriously cool, but I guess it’s kind of dorky. “I’ve got Kelly Rowland into it too, and now we hook up in the game. Beyonce tried to join us, but she wasn’t into it. Also I love to read science magazines. It’s not very R+B I know.”
Zoe Saldana
Zoe had many passions in school – Sci-Fi and fashion were two things she really loved: “In high school I was a little bit of everything. Sometimes I would want to dress like a cheerleader or like a mean girl or the Sci-Fi geek that I usually was. It all depended on my mood, but I always knew that I loved fashion.”
Justin Timberlake
Justin says he was a shy kid and he even calls himself a geek: “I think of myself as an entertainer, and that’s the only thing I’ve ever been decent at. Other than that, I’m kind of a geek. I was very shy and timid as a kid, and it was only when I discovered the stage in school that a monster came out! I think my mom was happy that I stopped staring at my sneakers and learned to be more outgoing. There was this need to perform and express myself that had been bottled up.”
Christina Aguilera
Christina is a competitive game nerd: “I’m a huge game nerd. I have a mini-arcade in my house, but it’s like old school games like ‘Donkey Kong’ and ‘Mario’. I hold the record for all of them. Everyone who has a little gamer in them comes over and tries to beat my score, and I get a little competitive. I’m number one on ‘Galaga’.”
Ben Affleck
Ben Affleck likes taking apart and building computers: “I’ve always been kind of a little bit of a nerd and I like computers. I used to take them apart and try to build them. So in some ways this is really close to one of my passions – although I rarely admit that!”
