In the digital era, nothing seems to stay private for very long, especially when it comes to music leaks, and musicians who’ve worked very hard to create something new, can easily have their new songs or even whole album released through the internet ahead of time. Some were left disappointed or frustrated when it happened to them, while others just know it’s now a part of the modern music industry and have laughed it off or even see it as a positive in disguise.
Dr. Dre
Dr. Dre was incredibly frustrated when one of his songs was leaked early: “It’s a little bit unfortunate with the technology today. (Kush) got leaked and it was a version of it that I really wasn’t happy about, (but) we’re going to go ahead and push it and put it out because everybody seems to like it. I just thought the content, it’s about weed smoking, and I don’t want people to think that that’s what my album is about. This is actually the only song with that type of content.”
