Britney was accused of dangerously driving with her son her lap, but she responded that she was quickly trying to get her child away from the paparazzi who were aggressive: “I instinctively took measures to get my baby and me out of harm’s way, but the paparazzi continued to stalk us, and took photos of us which were sold to the media. I love my child and would do anything to protect him.”
David was hit by critics after photos surfaced of daughter Harper using a pacifier aged 4, which many believed could be bad for her dental development. David commented in his defence: “Why do people feel they have the right to criticize a parent about their own children without having any facts?? Everybody who has children knows that when they aren’t feeling well or have a fever, you do what comforts them best and, most of the time, it’s a pacifier, so those who criticise think twice about what you say about other people’s children because actually you have no right to criticise me as a parent.”
Katie had parents talking when her young daughter Suri was seen wearing high heels. She insisted that they do her no harm because they’re made just for kids: “Like every little girl, she loves my high heels. They are actually ballroom dancing shoes for kids. I found them for her and she loves them.”
Critics speculated that Kim had plucked her daughter’s eyebrows but she hit back saying the idea was sick: “Do people really think I would wax my daughters eyebrows so young? Come on, I’d wait until she’s at least 2 1/2! I’m kidding!!! Its pretty sick for people to insinuate that I would wax my daughters eyebrows. They are thick, natural and amazing!”
Ryan had his daughter strapped into a baby carrier incorrectly and online critics were harsh about the innocent mistake. He responded: “I’m a first-time dad, and that is not the first mistake I’ve made. I can guarantee you it won’t be last. I’d never used that particular carrier before. Every other time has been perfect.”
