Food glorious food! These 5 celebrities all have hopes that one day they’ll open their own restaurants. They each have their own ideas of the kind of food they’ll want to serve at their place and what style it would be. Some love baking and would include a new bakery in their restaurant, while others are interested in Spanish cuisine or making the best sandwiches known to man. It’s all a matter of taste, and these 5 stars are all salivating at the thought! Some of these stars even want to get involved with the food preparation at their joint, such as Blake Lively and Jessica Biel who love to bake, while others are just interested in establishing a new enterprise.
Blake Lively
Blake wants to own several different types of restaurants and is a keen baker: “I want to have a brunch place, a bakery, and a Southern restaurant – because my family’s from Georgia – and then I want a place that is all-over-the-world cuisine. I take a cooking class everywhere I travel. I find it’s the best way to get to know a culture. It’s what people bring to the family every day, what they break bread over – it’s a very intimate thing.”
According to a source close to the actress, Paltrow dreams on opening a Spanish place: “She’s talking with her good friend, chef Mario Batali, about opening a place that specializes in Spanish cuisine. She wants to have a place where she can entertain her L.A. friends, Mario gave her the confidence to take it to the next level and start thinking of concepts and locations. It will be a huge ego boost for her to be a restaurant owner.”
Jessica Biel wants a restaurant with a bakery section because she loves to cook: ”I would have the bakery component. I say I’m into it, but I’m not a great baker – yet. Baking is really very mathematical and I’m terrible at math. I’m a really good loaf person. I do loaves – but sweet loaves – like zucchini loaf or banana loaf or banana blueberry loaf. It’s really good! Please come to my restaurant. It’s going to be called Oh Fudge.’
Nick wants to one day own his own deli because he grew up working in one: “My first job when I was six years old was working in a deli. I stocked the shelves, swept the floors, and just loved sandwiches. A family friend let me work at his deli and I got paid and everything. It was awesome. I really hope to open a deli one day. Making sandwiches is a real passion of mine. I just love the New York, New Jersey-style deli. No crazy tricks. Just good old fashioned sandwiches.”
Paris is hoping to open her own businesses including restaurants in the future: ”I’m always working on building my brand. Next I want to be able to do my own hotels, nightclubs and restaurants. And I want to get more into real estate, which is my family heritage.”
