It’s Halloween! So let’s get spooky and hear some real ghost stories. These 5 celebrities have all lived in haunted houses – here are their scary tales. Some were so scared by their haunted abode that they opted to move out and sell their luxurious property even though it cost millions, while others decided to actually embrace their new uninvited visitor, seeing them at least once, while others encountered the spirit much more but still weren’t scared off.
Alyson says she shares her home with a male ghost: “I have a ghost in my house. My friend saw him first one night. She said, ‘I don’t mean to alarm you, but I just saw a man follow us out of the house.’ And I said, ‘Well, at least he’s gentlemanly, he let us go first.’ I’m thinking of putting a little chalkboard where I think he lives, to see if he will write his name down.”
Katie Price
Katie recently moved in to a new house and is surprised that it isn’t haunted. She claims all of her past homes have had ghosts: “All my other houses have been haunted. It seems to follow me round. This house probably soon will be.”
Matthew McConaughey
Matthew revealed that he bumped in to a ghost while walking around naked in his first Hollywood home, but he found out she was friendly and he even named her Madame Blue: “She has no qualms with me. We get along just fine. She’s a cool ghost. Maybe me being nude all the time is why we get along!”
Paula Abdul
Paula once sold a luxurious home because she was convinced it was haunted and saw ghosts inside: “It wasn’t just me. In my neighbourhood, there were (other) people who experienced ghosts. The first time, I thought it was just me seeing white light. I would jump and go, ‘What was that?’ (I saw) what looked like a man in his 40s, hand-in-hand with his little son, who was in a little school uniform. I would see him walk by and I am like, ‘These are friendly ghosts.’”
Victoria & David Beckham
Victoria and David sold a French mansion because they were certain it had ghosts living inside. A source said at the time: “Nobody told David and Victoria about the ghost until after they had bought the property. Victoria is seriously spooked and refuses to set foot in it. After three years of avoiding the place, they’ve finally decided to sell it.”
