Emma has had panic attacks from a young age: ”I had a panic attack when I was eight. My mum couldn’t put notes in my lunch because I would be reminded that she existed and I would want to go home. And I was sick all the time. When I went through therapy, I tried improv for the first time, and I think there was some cathartic element to it.”
Gerard admits he can be addicted to anxiety: “I was born into a world of anxiety. I am slightly addicted to anxiety. When I’m feeling anxious, I’ll create more anxiety for myself. Like I might call all these people about what’s fun to do tonight and end up with four different options, which in itself would put me into a blind panic; but then I’ll make another four calls just to make it 10 times more anxiety-ridden.”
