Bret believes that his grandmother visited him: “I believe I’ve absolutely, for sure, seen an apparition in my life… I felt the presence of someone come up and put their hands on my shoulders. It was a warm feeling. It was almost like a friend. I turn around, it was my grandma.”
Demi’s house in Texas is haunted by a girl named Emily: “My house in Texas is so ridiculously haunted. Not by a bad spirit, but a little girl,” Demi revealed in an article for Buzzfeed. “I think her name is Emily. I’ve had a medium come over and ghost hunters, and they both told me the same name, Emily. When I was 3 years old my mom caught me talking to something by myself. She asked, ‘Who are you talking to?’ and I said, ‘My best friend Emily, she’s playful. She’d probably be around 11 or 12 years old, maybe younger.”
Keira once saw a man in her hotel room: ”I was staying in a hotel in this city [Los Angeles]. The room had a bedroom and a sitting room. I walked into the sitting room. I’d just got out of the shower. There was a guy sitting on the sofa. He had a burgundy shirt on and he had short black hair and I thought ‘Oh some guy has come into my room.’ I said to him ‘I’m really sorry, you’re in my room. Then my mum came in and was like ‘Who are you talking to?’ and I’m standing there. I don’t think I’d been drinking, it was early in the morning so I can’t figure out what it was other than a ghost. He was so real, then all of a sudden he wasn’t there.”
Rocker Meat Loaf was surprised to see a girl on his balcony: “I believe there’s something when you die because there are ghosts. I’ve seen them, I’ve been around them. When we were making Bat Out Of Hell I saw a blonde girl in a white dress. I went downstairs and told the guys, “There’s a groupie up on the balcony,” and they go, “How would she get up there?” Everybody went up and no one was there.”
Sting didn’t believe in ghosts until he saw one himself: “I would never have said I believe in ghosts, until I saw one – and I’ve seen a ghost with my own eyes. I woke up at three in the morning, bolt upright, looked into the corner of the room and thought I saw Trudie standing there with a child – our child – in her arms, staring at me. And I thought, ‘Well, that’s strange – why is she standing in a corner, staring at me?’. And I then reached next to me and there was Trudie, and I suddenly got this terrible chill. And she woke up and said ‘Gosh, who is that?’ and she saw this woman and a child in the corner of the room. A lot of things happened in that house, a lot of flying objects and voices and strange, strange things happened. When you live in old houses you get this energy there. Intellectually, no I don’t believe in them (ghosts), but I’ve experienced them on an emotional level.”
