Celebrity weddings can be so over the top – just look at Kim and Kanye’s recent nuptials for evidence – they spread the event over two countries, Kim wore three custom designer dresses and they spent millions jetting in their friends from around the world, renting properties and putting luxurious finishing touches on everything. But, not every wedding has to be so huge and lavish – these 5 stars aren’t a fan of the big blowout style and prefer something just relaxed, simple and with close friends invited only. Here are their thoughts on the subject.
Bar would like a relaxed wedding with only a few people: ”My boyfriend will hear my answer to that, so I better say yes! The wedding of my dreams is very simple, not a lot of people, not in a big place, maybe outdoors, barefoot.”
Cameron would like a simple, unplanned wedding if she marries: “The mystique and the romance of a big wedding are lost on me. I don’t think that I could ever do something that extravagant. I am not much of a planner. I would probably make the phone call 20 minutes before the bus leaves for the chapel and ask if anyone is available to come. That’s probably how my wedding is going to end up.”
Keira Knightley
Keira said before her wedding that she wouldn’t want a big expensive day: ”I could have six fake weddings. God, that would be expensive. We’re not really big-wedding types. I don’t need to have all that.”
Kristen Bell
Kristen said before marrying Dax Shepard that they wouldn’t plan a big day, and they married at a courthouse with just a few friends: ”We’re not having a wedding. It’s not a desire of either of ours to have any sort of day of celebration for us. I feel like we get enough attention in our daily lives and we just want something sort of private that involves pen and paper. It could be any day. Honestly, I could go home and we could do it today, there’s no forethought really going into it.”
Rob wouldn’t want to invite everyone he knows to his wedding: “I imagine it to be pretty simple. It’s not exactly my style to fly in 500 different celebrities from around the world. My best friends now are the same best friends I had before everything got a little crazy. I would want it to just be family and close friends, not somebody I’ve said hello to once at an awards ceremony.”
