Believing that stricter gun laws would bring a stop to violent shootings, these 5 celebrities have all voiced their opinions on the subject. They think it should be harder to obtain a fire arm, while some take their beliefs to a more extreme place and think that no one should even own guns. It’s just one side of the story, but these 5 celebrities have all pushed the issue and tried to use their fame to spread their thoughts on gun control and their hopes that if laws were made stricter, school shootings and other tragic incidents would be greatly reduced and perhaps even a thing of the past.

Reacting to another shooting, Mia wrote that laws need to be changed: “Omg (oh my god) Lone Star Campus shooting… Second Amendment (right to bear arms) must be adjusted!! That gun-shooting is ‘fun’ doesn’t cut it anymore. And delusional paranoia is not a justifiable reason to keep weapons. Ban semi-auto guns.”
Michael was close by when John Lennon was shot and ever since, he has believed in stricter gun control laws: “I was there the night John Lennon was shot, three blocks away. It left a lasting impression on me. It motivated me to do whatever I could to lobby for small-arms control.”
Musician Moby think that if even one life is saved, tighter gun control laws are worth it: “If stricter gun control saves even one child’s life isn’t it worth it? Immediately address the issue of gun control through the introduction of legislation in Congress.”
Speaking on movie violence possibility influencing mass shootings, director Quentin Tarantino says that it’s the law that needs to be adjusted, not films: “Would I watch a kung fu movie three days after the Sandy Hook massacre? Would I watch a kung fu movie? Maybe, ’cause they have nothing to do with each other, I’m really annoyed. I think it’s disrespectful. I think it’s disrespectful to their memory, the memory of the people who died, to talk about movies … Obviously, the issue is gun control and mental health.”
Zach believes it should be much harder to acquire a fire arm: “No one is saying you can’t have your gun, crazy angry gun guy. But most of the country is tired of how easy it is to get a gun. Sane people, we mustn’t let up on our politicians when this tragedy fades front the top story. This time lets not get silenced by the NRA.”
