It’s Valentine’s Day – so, what do the stars have planned for the romantic holiday? Is anyone plotting to gift their other half with millions worth of jewels or is the classic chocolate and flowers combo an option? Some are looking forward to a quiet romantic home cooked dinner, others are hoping their boyfriend gifts them with a nice box of chocolates and some just want to forget about the holiday because they aren’t particularly in a romantic mood right now. It can be a day of romantic surprises – will anyone get engaged? or will there be a secret admirer waiting with gifts at your doorstep, boombox in the air? These stars are hoping to keep the holiday simple!
Kimberley Walsh
The ‘Girls Aloud’ singer has warned her boyfriend not to propose because she thinks it would be too cliché and it would be better to spread out the celebrations: ”Valentine’s Day is a bit of a cliché. Every Valentine’s Day would be the day you got engaged, and then you would have to celebrate them both together. I want to spread it out. Then you get more celebrations throughout the year.”
Kristin Cavallari
Kristin has a six month old baby so plans to have a quiet romantic meal at home with partner Jay Cutler: ‘We could have gone away somewhere, but it just doesn’t seem that appealing. Like it’s more appealing to just be at home, with the baby. And then he goes to bed between six and seven every night, so then we can still have our night and I’ll cook dinner. We’ll still have time for us,. And then we’ll be able to get in bed at 10 o’clock and still have a good night’s sleep and call it a day! We’re so boring!”
Mila Kunis
Mila says she is hoping boyfriend Ashton Kutcher will surprise her with some chocolate or even flowers: “I think something simple, sweet and meaningful is great… I love flowers, chocolates are nice. Who doesn’t like chocolate?… Super stereotypical… (I want roses and chocolates) all day long. I want the biggest bear and like a thousand roses. If we’re going to do it, we we might as well go all out.”
Nick Cannon
Nick Cannon reveals that he is working on adding to his family with wife Mariah Carey so he’ll want this Valentine’s Day to have an extra special mood to make it happen: “(We are planning to make) some more babies. We definitely got (sic) a babysitter for Valentine’s Day. Those are the special moments. I am a hopeless romantic and so is my wife.” Cannon says his plans include: “rose petals, a lot of Luther Vandross playing in the background, chocolates and roses”.
Taylor Swift
Taylor Swift doesn’t particularly want to celebrate the day romantically and hopes to spend the time with friends or working instead:”I’ll probably spend it with my friends or rehearsing. I’ll be off in a warehouse somewhere and working on the lighting rig and the lighting cues. And I don’t think I’d rather be anywhere else, to be honest.”
