When your a celebrity, it must be easy to get caught up in fashion trends, always having the latest designer pieces and being ahead of everyone else. However, for these celebrities there is something just as special to be found on the racks on the high street in stores such as Topshop, H&M, American Apparel and more. It isn’t just about making a saving (an added bonus) but finding something different to the designer pieces for a change or simply something with a catwalk look that is a new twist on the look. High street pieces may be cheaper and are often accused of simply knocking off designer items, but they can often give things their own spin and create new desirable pieces that can often look perhaps more interesting than even the original idea itself. These 5 bargain shoppers all agree that the high street rules when it comes to adding to their wardrobes.

Chloe’s mother won’t allow her to splash out too much but she is happy to find amazing high street items to add to her wardrobe instead: “My mom won’t let me buy high-fashion stuff unless it’s TK Maxx or a birthday occasion. I love going to Topshop, Urban Outfitters and American Apparel, I’m in love with their jackets.”
Kelis is a big fan of finding special bargains, especially in Topshop because she loves the cool vibe: “I love TopShop, it’s f***ing cool. It’s sick, man. When I first got here, I was like a crack fiend for it. I would never come here without shopping. It’d be impossible.”
Olivia likes the idea of finding runway inspired pieces for cheaper because they don’t last long so it’s a cheaper way to get the look: ”The trick is taking a runway trend and incorporating it into your wardrobe in a way that doesn’t break the bank. Blend them with your personal style. It’s not about how much a piece of jewellery costs – if it’s $2, well then that’s even more exciting.”
Rita loves to mix designer pieces with special high street pieces: ”I love clothes. I have high street stuff bulging from my wardrobe and then my ‘gold rail’ of designer clothes: Mark Fast, Galliano, Oscar De La Renta. I love Kanye West’s new collection. But my trademark is red lips.”
Selena doesn’t believe in over-spending when it comes to her casual clothes: “When it comes to shopping I love a bargain. I don’t usually spend over the $20 mark. I feel so much better buying a top for $20 that isn’t so different from the one that costs $200. It’s really rare that I buy something expensive, and if I do, I think about it over and over before splashing out.”
