Dancing your way to fitness is definitely one of the most fun ways to do it – these 5 stars all love to shake it on the dance floor as their workout. Some do it because it’s part of their work and they often spend hours dancing on stage while in concert or rehearsing for a tour, while others just like to dance for fun or as part of their exercise regime because it’s a fun and easy way to do some cardio. Turning on their favourite music loud and having some fun dancing with friends, the time passes quickly and the weight can even fly off these 5 dancing stars!
Beyonce
Beyonce keeps fit by dancing while rehearsing for her tour which often results in weight loss: “I lost a lot of weight naturally, just from 12-hour rehearsals, that’s a lot of dancing. I would never work out for 12 hours, but I’m able to move around and not think about it. It’s part of my job.”
Penelope Cruz
Penelope finds the gym boring but loves to dance to keep fit: “I love ballet and I love dancing and it’s a little boring for me to go to the gym because I’m used to the dancing discipline – it’s really hard but much more fun.”
Jennifer Lopez
According to an insider, Jennifer finds dancing the easiest and most fun way to stay in shape: “Jennifer has amped up her workout routine by running three miles a day, five days a week, but her true love is a dance workout. She has one of her choreographer friends meet her at a studio three times a week, where they put on loud Latin and pop music and dance and sweat for a full hour.”
Lady Gaga
Gaga finds she has to do little to work out because she dances so regularly: “I’m not body confident all the time – just like everybody else. But sometimes I am. You know, I dance a lot and it’s important for me to stay in shape, so I can keep up with my fans, who keep me very busy on the road. My advice is to spend about 15 minutes every day having compassionate thoughts about yourself. That might help.”
Cheryl Cole
Cheryl likes to keep her fitness fun by doing some dance cardio:”I stay fit because I work out a lot. I follow the Tracy Anderson method, which is a mixture of muscle structure exercises and 45 minutes of dance cardio. I think the hardest part of getting fit is getting started. It can be really hard to motivate yourself at the beginning, but now I really love working out and staying in shape.”
