SUMMARY
- Jamaal Williams
- Damien Harris
- Deebo Samuel
- Tyler Lockett
Let’s devive to it.
1. Jamaal Williams
UPDATE (Dec. 31): Jamaal Williams (leg) isn’t listed on the Week 17 injury report ahead of a matchup with the Bears.
Many people did not report that Jamaal Williams left the Lions’ Week 16 game and did not return.
D’Andre Swift was the Lions’ starting running back, while Justin Jackson was the backup.
Williams played a season-low 24% of the snaps following his third consecutive poor fantasy performance.
This week, keep an eye on the Lions’ practice reports because Williams’ status is in doubt.
UPDATE (Dec. 31): Damien Harris (thigh/personal) practiced fully Friday and doesn’t carry an injury designation for Sunday’s game against the Dolphins.
Harris is getting closer to returning to action, but he was unable to do so in Week 16 due to the same thigh injury that has kept him out for a while.
The Patriots had planned for Harris to be active in Week 16 in case of an emergency, but that did not happen.
Harris could return in Week 17, but keep an eye on the practice reports, which will begin to be released on Wednesday.
3. Deebo Samuel
UPDATE (Dec. 31): According to ESPN.com’s Nick Wagoner, Samuel (knee) did not appear to do much during the early portion of Friday’s practice.
Kyle Shanahan, head coach of the San Francisco 49ers, told reporters on Monday that Deebo Samuel’s ankle and knee are healing well, and he may be able to return to practice this week.
We last saw Samuel play in Week 14 against the Buccaneers, so if he does return in Week 17, he will be on schedule, according to initial reports.
Samuel could return during the fantasy football championship weekend. There’s some potentially exciting stuff on the horizon.
Kyle Shanahan says Deebo Samuel's ankle and knee are both making "really good progress" — there is a chance he'll be back at practice later this week

4. Tyler Lockett
UPDATE (Dec. 31): Tyler Lockett (hand) plans to play in Sunday’s game against the Jets, though he acknowledged Friday that the final decision will be made by coaches and trainers.
The Seahawks offense looked off without Tyler Lockett on the field on Sunday, but that could be the only game he misses.
Head coach Pete Carroll stated before his team’s game this week that Lockett could return from surgery after only one absence.
We’ll see if that’s just lip service but keep an eye on the Seahawks practice report on Wednesday, when they take the field for the first time this week.
