SUMMARY
- Cooper Kupp
- Kenny Pickett
- Jeff Wilson Jr.
- Dameon Pierce
1. Cooper Kupp
UPDATE: Cooper Kupp was placed on injured reserve in mid-November after undergoing surgery to treat a right high-ankle sprain.
His recovery time was estimated to be 6-to-8 weeks. The short end of that timeline positioned Kupp for a possible return as early as Week 17, but McVay isn’t counting on the All-Pro receiver suiting up again this season, despite the Rams being 4-9 and on the verge of being eliminated from the playoffs.
2. Kenny Pickett
UPDATE: Pickett will play against the Raiders on Saturday after confirming that he was cleared by an independent neurologist on Monday and removed from the NFL’s five-step concussion protocol.
Kenny Pickett (concussion protocol) is limited in practice on Wednesday.
Mitch Trubisky will get the ball this week. The following players were prevented from practicing: Larry Ogunjobi (toe), Harris (hip), Freiermuth (foot), and Myles Jack (groin). Watch for updates on their whereabouts throughout the rest of the week.
3. Jeff Wilson Jr.
UPDATE 1: Wilson (hip) is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Packers after practicing in a limited fashion this week
UPDATE: Head coach Mike McDaniel said Monday that Wilson (hip) was close to playing Saturday against Buffalo and is considered day-to-day moving forward.
Wilson missed his first game of the season Week 15 due to a hip injury he suffered against the Chargers in Week 14, but it appears the running back will have a good chance to suit up against the Packers on Christmas Day.
However, Miami’s injury report during Week 16 prep figures to provide some clarity on Wilson’s availability for that contest.
4. Dameon Pierce
According to Brooks Kubena of the Houston Chronicle, on Saturday the Texans placed Pierce (ankle) on injured reserve.
While it was initially thought that Pierce’s high-ankle sprain would keep him out of action for just one to two weeks, the situation has changed, and he will now miss the remaining four games of the season. Pierce suffered the injury last Sunday against Dallas.
