British singer-turned-designer Victoria Beckham is about to open her first stand alone store to house her fashion designs and she’s now gushed about how excited she is about the upcoming launch this week. She believes the space gives her the opportunity to show the clothes to potential customers in the exact way she’s always wanted and she has created her own shopping experience by being able to realize that vision. Victoria said about the exciting process:
“For the first time, it’s my designs, my vision. This is how I feel the clothes should be showcased, how I like them to be seen. That’s been very exciting for me – to be able to buy what I believe the customer wants.”
The store, which is located in London’s prestigious Mayfair area, will offer those who step inside their own new experience. Victoria explained that they’re going to explore different merchandising techniques:
“We can play with how we merchandise things, and I think that’s a very modern way of shopping. So hopefully, every time somebody comes to the store it’s going to be a slightly different experience.”
Victoria wants as much of her collection as possible to be available to customers through her store and is striving to stock as many catwalk items as she can because she thinks women want to shop directly from the looks they’ve seen presented to them. She commented:
“I think it’s important that women can actually buy what they see on the catwalk and what they’re seeing in magazines.”
