Lexie Headed back to Days

Months ago Renee Jones, aka Lexie Carver on 'Days of Our Lives' was let go from the show. However, she'll be coming back to reprise her role, and the DiMera's are coming back as well (Stefano, Anna, and Tony.)

The show is set to end in 2009.

Gilmore Girls Canceled

The CW has finally revealed the fate of my much loved show, 'Gilmore Girls.' The show has been canceled, and the finale of the show will air on May 15.

The statement from the network said, "Announcing the final season of 'Gilmore Girls' is truly a sad moment for everyone at The CW and Warner Bros. Television," statement read. "This series helped define a network and created a fantastic, storybook world featuring some of television's most memorable, lovable characters."

David Rosenthal took over after the show's creator, Amy Sherman-Palladino left after the sixth season.

Personally, I can't say I'm surprised. The show hasn't been as good the past two seasons. I'm bummed the show is over, because it is an addiction of mine, but I'll just continue watching the DVD's when I need a fix.

Heroes Do EW

This weeks Entertainment Weekly cover girls and boys is none other than the cast of Heroes. There's five covers total, all of which are great even though they put some pretty random characters together. The covers also tell us that Peter most likely comes in to contact with Claire's mom and Micah is missing...but we kind of already knew all of that. Hopefully inside the issue there's some spoilery good fun!

A Belated Heroes Post

I know I RARELY talk about Heroes (Lost is more than enough for me to keep up with) but I have to say something about the most mind blowingly AWESOME episode they've ever had. And that says a lot!

Initially I thought the whole idea of them going into the future and showing us what will happen if they fail was a pretty lame idea. So maybe it was just a way for the writers to stretch out the storyline but they totally made it work. The future is pretty gloomy...."Nathan" is the President bent genocide, Surresh is working with him, Matt is Homeland Security, Hiro is a terrorist and worst of all Peter is dating Nikki/Jessica (sorry, that pairing just doesn't make any sense to me).

Um, am I allowed to gush just a little bit? Personally, I never really thought Peter was all that attractive before (he's a bit too petite for my taste)....but man oh man, what a little bit of stubble and some slicked back hair can do! But was the Matrix/Neo-esque wardrobe really necessary?

Best part of the episode; the twist that I totally didn't see coming. I'm sitting around the whole time wondering WHY Nathan has pretty much gone crazy and wants to exterminate everyone like him. Oh, it turns out that's not Nathan at all, but Sylar using his newly acquired shape shifter powers. I'm still REALLY mad that he had to go and kill the painter. Seriously, that dude was awesome; too bad they didn't use him more.

I've also heard that Peter and Nathan's mother has a power and apparently it's similar to what one of the other heroes can do, but she can get from Point A to Point B a lot faster. Teleportation, maybe?

Oh, and Claire looked cute as a brunette!

Three more episodes to go! Love. this. show.

American Idol 6 - Top 6 Rock Week

After last week's charity event, 'Idol Gives Back,' where nearly seventy million dollars were raised, the sixth place finisher was not eliminated. So, going into this week, the top six performed again, and tomorrow night the two lowest scorers will face elimination instead of one. Scandalous contestant Antonella Barba, and also Gina Glockson were in the audience.

This week's theme is songs by Bon Jovi, and he served as the mentor.

Tiff:First tonight was Phil with "Blaze of Glory." I think Phil's voice has come a long way since his initial audition. Also, this song was probably a really good one for his voice. I thought the first few notes were a bit iffy, but it got better, especially toward the end. He seems like he's a lot more comfortable on the stage now than he used to be, and he does well with the bigger, longer notes. Randy thought other than country week, this is his best performance on the show. Paula thought it was the best opening to the show they've had all season long. Simon wasn't even that mean, but he didn't think Phil would be around next week.

Kim: I don't think this was one of his top two performances, but it was definitely one of his best. But why is he first when he's NEVER been last, and Melinda has been three times? Wow, talk about blatant favoritism...

Tiff: Second was Jordin singing "Livin' On A Prayer." I'm actually not surprised she chose this song. She has a big voice, and depending on how this song is done, it can work really well with her style. I really so far prefer Lukas Rossi's cover from 'Rockstar: Supernova,' but the more traditional arrangement (as Jordin did it) is good too. Vocally, I thought this was weaker than some of her other performances, but it wasn't horrible but I didn't like it like others she's done. She looked cute, and I loved her hair. The judges weren't big fans of her performance, but they credited her effort to a degree. She was really honest that she struggled with the song, specifically the verses, and that rock isn't her thing. I liked that.

Kim: I like the slowed down version of Livin on A Prayer, but the original was one hot track! It wasn't Jordin's best vocal but it sure was entertaining! Simon was a little bit too harsh saying it was "terrible"; not even.

Willa Ford as Anna Nicole Smith

We reported a week or two ago that "singer", playmate and DWTS contestant Willa Ford would be playing Anna Nicole Smith in a biopic about her life. This is one of the first pictures from the set. I'm surprised at how much she looks like her! I never noticed the resemblance before.

Sanjaya's Mom's Pot Arrest

Kim mentioned 'Idol' contestant Sanjaya's mom's arrest for pot yesterday. Today, TMZ and the National Enquirer are giving more details. Apparently, she (Jillian Blith) was busted for at least 310 plants. Shyamali, also known as sister of Sanjaya was arrested for possession as well, and told cops where to find a second growing facility...where her mother and step-father were arrested in February 2005. Shyamali was only 17 at the time of the arrest.

The mother somehow only received a very light 30 day jail sentence.

That's definitely a bizarre type of 'Idol' story.

Opinion: I get that pot is great for cancer patients and to treat illnesses. I have no problem with that, medical reasons. But when you're a mom and you get arrested and your 17 year old kid gets arrested because you're growing it in your garage, I think that's pretty bad. I also don't think they were growing it for cancer patients. Though somehow I get the feeling this makes some people like Sanjaya even more, and that's pathetic.

American Idol 6 - Idol Gives Back!

For the first time in the six years 'American Idol' has decided to give back. In an unprecedented charity event, stars of all calibers and 'Idol' contestants come together to raise money for causes that need desperate attention, with 'Idol Gives Back.'

At the beginning of the show, Ryan promised tonight's result would be the most shocking in the history of the show. Over 70 million people voted, not only to keep their favorite on the show, but also to raise money for great causes. Ellen DeGeneres is helping host the event from the Walt Disney Concert Hall for the guest performers/concert part of the event.

Tiff: The first up tonight was Earth, Wind, and Fire... and yeah, I don't know why they got to be on the show either. Really, no idea. I guess some people care. They did a medley of all kinds of their songs, most of which, I honestly had no idea were theirs. Anyway, moving on.

Kim: Didn't you think it was funny that EVERYONE else sang songs appropriate to the occasion and they just did a funk medley? Yeah, anyways, moving on...

Tiff: We saw video of Randy and time he spent with Katrina survivors in New Orleans, one of the causes this show is supporting. It really is hard to believe that two years after the disaster, people are still having to live in conditions like so many are - really, this is America. Is it not the land of opportunity? Or at least isn't that what we're told? Why isn't something being done?

Kim: I was surprised to see people still living in those towns. But they probably lost SO much and perhaps didn't have much to start, that even with the government aid I assume, and hope, they're getting, it just isn't enough.

Tiff: The top six contestants sang "Time to Care" written by Quincy Jones. Celebrities like Eric McCormick pled for people to call in and donate, joking about all those who voted for Sanjaya, and how much money could be raised if they would call in to donate. We also got a glimpse of Sanjaya and his sister in the audience. We saw more stories from Ryan and Simon's trip to Africa which was really sweet and heartbreaking.

Kim: I wasn't crazy about that song.

Vanessa Minnillo to Leave TRL

MTV VJ Vanessa Minnillo aka girlfriend of Nick Lachey will be leaving TRL. Shocker, right? That show hasn't been cool since Carson, and I didn't like him all that much. Now he just looks like a stretched out string bean. Anyway, she recently moved in with Nick, is releasing a make-up line in August, and wants to move on to other things...like yes, acting. (Oh fun.) And who else bets she and Nick will make things official soon? Within the next year and a half I'd say.
