Amanda Seyfried has admitted that her singing sounds like someone having a stroke. The actress, who was performing her part for new film ‘Les Miserables’ says that cast members didn’t understand what was wrong with her when she began singing out of key and wobbling around with her voice. In particular, British actor Eddie Redmayne was left dumbfounded when Amanda sung solo:

“I was doing a romantic duet with Amanda (Seyfried) and she was singing off-tune and slightly off-tempo, and I kept thinking, ‘This is an interesting take on the song’. We got to the end and she admitted she didn’t have her earpiece on. She was just singing along a cappella. I was too embarrassed to tell her.”

Amanda says that she often misplaced her earpiece and instead of turning it into a mission to find it and thus interrupting the filming, she would often perform without it which didn’t turn out to be a good idea because she believes it made her sound like she was having a stroke:

“I would leave it (the earpiece) somewhere and I wouldn’t want anybody to know. I would just pretend I had it in. They all thought I was having some kind of stroke. It was kind of funny when we cut. They would be like, ‘What’s wrong with you?'”
