Adam Levine clearly doesn’t realize that he’s the star of a reality show (The Voice) because he’s taken a dig at Honey Boo Boo for being bad for humanity in general. Sure, ‘The Voice’ is probably less of a mind pollutant than ‘Honey Boo Boo’, but it’s not like he can make the argument when he has cashed in on the whole reality show thing too. Adam claims that Honey Boo Boo and her entire family are destroying the world:
“Seriously, Honey Boo Boo is the DECAY of Western civilization. Just because so many people watch the show doesn’t mean it’s good. So many people witness atrocities and can’t take their eyes away from them, but that doesn’t mean they’re good. That show is literally The. Worst. Thing. That’s. Ever. Happened.”
He says the show is horrible because of the way the children are treated, and he thinks it just promotes ignorance and bad parenting, so he calls the whole family out and very literally says f**k them. Adam continued his random rant:
“It’s complete f#@*ing ignorance and the most despicable way to treat your kids. F#@* those people. You can put that in the magazine: F#@* those idiots. They’re just the worst. Sorry, I’m so sensitive to that—like, I don’t know, man, it’s upsetting. Just to clarify, I said, “F#@* THOSE PEOPLE.”

He was commenting on the people on that show, how they treat children, and the promotion of shitty parenting…not reality TV. I don’t think there is any instance of hipocrisy in that rant and there is nothing in those tidbits you posted that I would disagree with.

Ok, sorry but first of all your remark:

You guys are ridiculous.. Yes.. YES HE CAN comment and say what he said.. Why? Simple, The Voice is not in the same category as Honey Boo Boo, not even in the same Galaxy… The Voice is a performance show in which it shows people at their best. Boo Boo is quite simply something that should be handed over tot he Child Authorities of the State and the kids should be removed from that family.
For you to say he doesn’t have the right to speak his mind is the same as writing up an article that says that he can’t while he’s actually making a good freaking point about the state that television is putting out the worst shows on tv compared to actual talent, or good story lines or even good reality tv that doesn’t diminish the brain to a level that a banana peal could actually win against these guys on a simple math test.
Reality tv is good and bad, then there’s Honey Boo Boo bad.. I saw 14 minutes of one show.. then I said to myself it must be just that show.. So I watched another 5 minutes three weeks later .. Seriously if this is teaching people how to live life… We are in trouble..
Don’t call it “ranting” call it “making a point about certain reality tv shows!”…

I agree with Adam Levine 100%… I cannot understand why the Honey Boo Boo show is popular. I have seen clips online and felt ashamed to have watched those, let alone an entire episode! I think this show is complete filth, and has no substance at all. It’s sad to think that this is what’s entertaining to people. Seems more like a train-wreck.

I don’t know why everyone hates on Honey Boo Boo. I only saw one episode out of curiosity and besides the poor eating their seems to be a lot of love in that family and they do math and stuff when they’re shopping. I think they’re in the 75 percentile as far as parenting goes in this country, what’s the big hang up?

Well, I love Adam and I think he’s brillant no matter what he does. But I like that show because it’s hilarious. They’re so stupid that it cracks me up every time I hear “Honey Boo Boo”. Oh my god hahaha. Quit hating on Adam, pansies. He’s definitely right. And a good musician. So fuck you.

I totally agree with Adam Levine, he has every right to his opinion, which is right on, and they should take that show off the air for the sake of the children! The show is child abuse, I just hope that poor girl doesn’t kill herself later when she’s older because the world is a cruel place and what her parents are doing which her us unforgivable! At least Adam had the balls to call it what it is. THE WORST!
