So You Think You Can Dance? Tour Setlist
Posted by Kim on September 21st, 2008
The So You Think You Can Dance? S4 tour kicked off in Washington last night. This is the first year I’ll be going to see this show (on Oct. 5th) so I was pretty anxious to see what they had in store. Set list first, my griping later…

Group Routine – You Can’t Stop The Beat
Here it comes. They could’ve done a MUCH better job planning this. There are so many needless routines here, like the Chelsie/Joshua tango, Joshua/Katee samba, Will/Courtney hip hop and especially that horrid Kherington/Twitch hip hop. Seriously?
And speaking of “Twitchington”….how on earth are they doing THREE routines while Mark & Chelsie and Courtney & Gev only get one each? I probably would’ve reconsidered buying tickets had I known that in advance. But hopefully seeing “Bleeding Love”, Will & Jessica’s “Adam and Eve” and “The Dance” will make up for it; LOVED all three of those!

Katee is getting to do way too many routines.
and where is the contemporary routine from Chelsie and Mark? I LOVE that routine.
Chelsie and Twitch’s Mambo should be on there too.
Chelsea & Thayne? what are they doing on the set list?

I can understand why Katee gets a lot of routines, I guess. But six dances w/ Joshua is excessive.
Yeah I wuoldve liked to have seen the Marksie contemp or jazz or even tango. Sooo many to choose from :/
I guess Chelsea/Thyne are the alternates.

I thought comfort and Thyne were alternates.
OH! I forgot about Marksie’s jazz routine.
I really liked Gev and Chelsie’s contemporary routine.

I checked and it’s Thayne and Chelsea who are the alternates. There are 11 headliners, technically (Jessica and Comfort).

OK – the tour was already here in Portland and i saw it on Sunday. You are right that there was way too much Katee and Joshua and no where near enough Chelsie & Mark. Their tango was way better than the Chelsie Joshua one taht was included. That being said, the show totally rocks from beginning to end, they did virtually every dance that i would ahve wanted to see and the whole thing was worth it jsut to see Chelsie & Mark do Bleeding Love and Courney & Mark do The Garden.

^Thanks for that review, BF! Yeah the set list isnt bad, but there’s a handful of dances I would want to see (Willsica Jazz, Courtney/Gev Rumba, Marksie Jazz/Contemp/Broadway/whatev)
Yep Im still complaining.

Just saw the show in Austin (literally 5 minutes ago). It was really good but there were a lot of routines that shouldn’t have been done and some that were missed. Loved seeing Joshua, Twich, Courtney G., and Gev…the others…not so much!

Went to the show in KC and Katee was injured, so we didn’t see any of her dances, which sucked ass. She was one of my favorites and last year they just replaced an injured Lacey with somebody else. I was highly disappointed.

^Aaaand that’s exactly why it was ridiculous to give her so many dances.

They put KHERINGTON in place of Katee in the contemporary dance with the door; Mercy by Duffy. I was reallllly disappointed. Not the same with kherington. Katee was in barely ANY of the detroit show, and snuck off stage for alot of the group numbers. They didn’t even tell the audience that she was injured or anything. A little upsetting
